In a setting filled with a wonderland of greenery on the rugged beauty of California’s coastline, Andris and Sydney sealed their love, saying “I do” in Big Sur. 

Due to restrictions brought upon by COVID-19, the couple opted for having a small wedding filled with their closest friends and family. With a destination wedding in mind, the couple could enjoy their big day with their closest loved ones by their side. 

“I actually knew I loved this location before I even thought about getting married,’’ Sydney said.

With the couple falling in love with the magical location of Big Sur, they quickly found their ideal venue. Located in a secluded area, the venue was gorgeous, but it also meant that finding the right vendors would not be easy. 

“The venue was very helpful with recommending [vendors] and making sure we had a list of people in the area,” the bride said. 

With their ideal wedding coming alive, the couple chose to add their own budget-savvy personalized details to get the unique look they were dreaming of. “To save money on florals, we bought giant ferns to line the aisle as I walked down,’’ the bride said. The couple purchased large glass vases and filled them with candles and rocks to achieve a rustic look.

One of Andris and Sydney’s favorite aspects of how they chose to tie the knot was getting to make an entire weekend out of the event. “Instead of just a wedding night we basically all had a giant wedding weekend. We all got AirBnB’s and got to spend all weekend going on hikes and being together.”

With a perfect day filled with love and laughter, the couple celebrated their union alongside their guests in the tucked-away gem of Big Sur.
