Celebrating your impending union with your best friends doesn’t have to mean a rowdy Vegas trip or expensive jaunt to Napa. It’s always a good idea to take your interests or passions into account when deciding the best bachelor/bachelorette route. For nature or art lovers, Sedona, Arizona is an out-of-the-box, wonderful option worth considering. The Red Rocks of Sedona are known the world over – and for good reason. It would provide an awe-inspiring backdrop for your pre-wedding celebrations. The pedestrian-friendly Uptown Sedona area would also be a perfect spot for couples on their honeymoon that want to lazy away the days exploring local art galleries or breweries.

For a place to lay your head, whether with your new spouse or best friends, we definitely recommend checking out Orchards Inn. The property just completed a renovation of its 70 guestrooms and offers some of the best Red Rock views around. The suites are ideal for groups and feature kitchenettes, fireplaces, pullout couches and, in most cases, separate bedrooms. The balconies and patios are perfect for taking in the view and kicking back with a glass of wine.

In addition to the recent room upgrades, Orchards Inn also opened a Sonoran-style Mexican restaurant – 89Agave Cantina. It’s located just steps from the hotel and it’s a good thing because after gorging on specialty guacamoles and tasty sangrias, you’re going to need to let your food settle with a good night’s sleep. If you’re looking to burn off some calories, the hiking in the area is superb and Orchards Inn has a special package to aide you in your quest for mountain vistas.

If you want something a little more laidback, we would highly recommend checking out the lovely L’Apothecary Spa at the hotel’s sister property, L’Auberge de Sedona. While you’re there, be sure and make a reservation for L’Auberge’s infamous Sunday brunch. By staying at Orchards Inn, you’re getting the best of both worlds, in a sense.  You get amazing Red Rock views and a great location, but you can still indulge at the spa or restaurants at L’Auberge, which is a short, scenic walk away.
