Built in 1917 by Richard Teller Crane Jr., Crane Cottage features an Italian Renaissance design that feels straight out of Tuscany, complete with arched windows and a courtyard made for nuptials. As the fountain trickles softly in the background, guests can gather in the sun or beneath strings of lights in this charming courtyard. The surrounding gardens offer ample space for portraits, lingering conversations, or a romantic stroll.

Cherokee Cottage

Across the lawn, Cherokee Cottage offers a different kind of intimacy. Its brick facade and shaded patios provide a calm retreat for the bridal party to sip coffee before the ceremony or for family members to share stories that bridge generations. Originally built as a retreat for the Shrady family, it still feels like a private, thoughtful space holding the hum of anticipation before vows are exchanged.

While preserved by the Jekyll Island Authority rather than operated as resort lodging, its striking facade remains a favorite nearby backdrop for wedding portraits that capture the quiet sophistication of the Gilded Age.
