1. Dinner at the Beach House
Destination I Do’s recipe for a perfect romantic evening: Make a reservation at the Beach House (well in advance) and be sure you time it in before sunset. As you sip one of their signature tropical drinks, you will be able to watch the surfers ride in the last waves of the day from you table — just 20 feet from the beach. When the sun begins to set, you will notice that one by one the dinner guests vacate their seats to step outside for a picture that will capture the essence of their experience. We guarantee that this picture will wind up on your desktop or bulletin board. Order the mahi mahi and when they ask you if you would like to try their molten chocolate desert, the correct answer is yes. You can hike it off tomorrow.

2. Watch the sunset every night
Nothing is more romantic that watching a sunset, and Kauai has enough great spots you can choose a different one every evening. Recommended locations (other than the Beach House, of course) include: Kee Beach, the Bali Hai Restaurant at Hanalei Bay Resort, the Princeville Hotel, Waimea Plantation Cottages, the Waimea Canyon pullouts, Kekaha Beach Park and Polihale State Park.

3. Na Pali Coast
Some places are simply unforgettable, and the Na Pali coast is one of them. Accessible only by boat, helicopter or a rigorous all day hike, this 15 mile coastline on the west side of Kauai is magnificent. Jagged 4,000-foot cliffs, deep valleys, remote beaches and cascading waterfalls are part of this amazing place. It is no wonder that this part of Kauai has been where many movies have been filmed. It is a don’t miss for you and your wedding guests.

4. Helicopter Tours
Seeing Kauai from the vantage point of a helicopter provides the thrill of a lifetime and the opportunity to see remote regions of the island that are inaccessible any other way. The scenery is spectacular and you can cover the entire island in the shortest amount of time.

5. Horseback Riding
Ride on horseback to a remote, tropical waterfall or along ocean bluffs with dramatic views. Check out Princeville Ranch Stables for some fun excursions.

6. Zipline
If you are looking for an exhilarating experience, you might want to consider a zipline adventure. Glide down a mountainside over a forest canopy and tranquil stream to your destination in a bamboo forest. This activity is not for the faint of heart.

7. Kayaking
This fun outing combines exercise, history and beautiful scenery as you and your guests kayak through a region considered sacred and once reserved for Hawaiian royalty. You then hike through a topical rainforest up to a 120-foot waterfall.

8. Hike to Queen’s Bath
In this case, it is not the hike that is adventurous, but the destination. Located near the Princeville Resort, a short hike down to the ocean brings you to a unique spot where the surf can be calm one moment and in the next moment you can find yourself scrambling toward higher ground.

9. Snorkel, Snuba, Scuba
Whether you rent gear and head out with a map of best snorkel spots or take a cruise, this activity is fun for all ages and fitness levels. You will be amazed at the variety of fish that you encounter in the clear Pacific waters around Kauai. After mastering the art of snorkel, you might want to progress to Snuba which enables you the to explore deeper as you breathe through a long air tube. Being on Kauai is also a great time to try out Scuba.

10. Luau
Experience the spirit of Aloha, learn about Hawaiian culture, try native cuisine and enjoy authentic Hawaiian entertainment at one of the luaus on the island of Kauai. It is a must if it is your first visit to the islands.
