Nashville is a major destination for weddings, and we’re never surprised to hear it, what with the plethora of stunning venues, the gorgeous surroundings, and the insanely-talented network of nuptials vendors in the area. We’re perpetually stalking all the pretty that ends up under the #nashvilleweddings hashtag, and even though we’re not taking regular trips to all the v. best venues in person, we’ve begun to recognize the whereabouts of every awe-inspiring affair. Be it a certain tree that couples take their first look pics under, an incredible white porch swing that brides can sit with their fathers and share “I’ll always be your girl” glances, without words, a rowboat first kiss with limestone waterfall mists in the background, or a gorgeous dress hanging on a grand, floral-draped spiral staircase, these are the special details and hidden gems that make this Nashville lineup so loved.

Keep reading for 10 special spots at our favorite Music City celebration scenes and if/when you’re ready to start booking, reach out to the brilliant event teams at all your wish-list “I do” locales. The planners and wedding/catering coordinators are an open book about their properties’ claims to fame, and they’ll be able to talk you through all the best parts about their parties.

Cheekwood Estate & Gardens

Botanical garden venues are always beautiful for the best days ever, and this place doesn’t disappoint—with opportunities for both indoor and outdoor ceremonies and reception and areas that accommodate intimate gatherings (with as little as 35 guests) and much larger affairs (up to 250 guests—for a seated celebration). Every locale offers a different vibe and a picturesque natural setting to backdrop your vows or the party that comes after. And if you need a better idea of what is possible for your ceremony and reception, you can explore each Cheekwood venue in greater detail and take a peek at the photo galleries for perspective. Depending on the day of the week, and your preferred site, you can book a Ceremony Only, Reception Only, or both.

Cool things about weddings planned here:

  • You’ll have access to an event supervisor who will help coordinate your day.
  • You can use the botanical grounds for an engagement session and/or portraits on the day of your wedding.
  • You’ll get a number of wedding vendor referrals who know the property extremely well.
  • Ceremony seating and self-parking for guests is included (with upgraded chairs and/or valet parking for an additional fee).
  • With your booking, you’ll get a membership to Cheekwood Estate & Gardens.
  • If you’re not yet married, but getting close to an engagement, you can inquire about a proposal package.

Things to know in advance:

  • You must use a caterer on Cheekwood’s list of approved caterers.
  • Cheekwood requires the use of at least a licensed month-of planner for any reception planned at the Estate; for receptions of 100+ guests, a full-service planner is required.
  • The venue has a list of planners that are familiar with the property / have done many weddings there, but if you have a planner who is not on the list, they’ll need to set up a site visit if they haven’t been to Cheekwood within the last 3 months.

OMG! Love this:

  • The Blevins Japanese Garden is the perfect place to gather your loved ones if you’ve thought about a destination wedding before, but would rather stay close to home.

Belle Meade Events & Winery

Have you considered a winery wedding before? Because Belle Meade Winery might just be your kind of wedding vintage. The winery is situated on 32 acres of historic land, and if you love gourmet wine and gastronomic (the best in food) experiences, you’ll be in for a full day/night of it at this sweet spot. The property can host up to 200 guests for a wedding ceremony and reception—to take place in the outdoor Boxwood Garden (the gorgeousness of the landscaping here+the built-in stone bench seating for wedding guests) or the Carriage House, or an entirely tented event space. A lot comes with the rental fee, too, including a fun outdoor game court featuring bocce ball, horseshoes, corn hole, a mini golf-style putting green, and croquet (Queen of Hearts vibes) during cocktail time.

Cool things about weddings planned here:

  • The event spot is conveniently located within 3 miles of hotels and 7 miles of downtown Nashville, Tennessee. So, guest accommodations are very close by/an Uber ride away.
  • You can choose your own wedding dream team. And the venue is also happy to provide recommendations for caterers, florists, photographers, wedding band/DJs, bakeries, etc. that align with your budget.
  • Speaking of, you and your vendors can access the winery’s grounds for planning purposes (i.e. getting the lay of the land prior to your wedding date).
  • If you’re getting married at the venue, you can schedule a pre-wedding engagement session or timely shoot on the grounds (so you have on-theme photography to show off during cocktail hour).

Things to know in advance:

OMG! Love this:

  • Since you can bring in your own wedding team, your planner or designer can dream up amazing ways to personalize your party

The Union Station Nashville Yards

There are resort and hotel wedding locations, and then there are utterly-unique hotels that make you forget where you are, in the best ways possible. That’s what you’ll experience with a celebration staked out at one of Nashville’s most exclusive and sought-after wedding locations, a restored train station turned boutique luxury hotel. You have both indoor (grand lobby and adjacent ballrooms) and outdoor (a covered outdoor terrace) venues to consider for your ceremony and reception, and, of course, on-site guest accommodations. For sweet dreams after your very special evening.

Cool things about weddings planned here:

  • The Grand Lobby can hold up to 500 guests (insane, right?), with a 65-foot stained glass ceiling and incredibly elegant, romantic embellishments throughout.
  • Built-in grandeur is in no short supply here: chandeliers, marble flooring, inspiring architecture, etc.
  • The hotel is at once historic and modern, and you’ll have infinite places to capture your love.
  • A complimentary suite is provided on the night of your wedding.

Things to know in advance:

  • You can curate the vendor team of your choice—with the exception of catering (their menus are tailored by and with the help of the hotel’s phenomenal culinary team.)
  • Hiring a wedding professional is required; their wedding specialists can only handle logistics pertaining to the hotel, room block, and in-house catering.

OMG! Love this:

  • Do you and your partner love spooky things? Maybe you met at a Halloween party or you fell in love on a guided ghost tour while on vacation? Well, The Union Station Hotel has a friendly apparition apparently…

The Cordelle

Minimalism, but make it big impact. That’s exactly what The Cordelle, one of Nashville’s most standout and incredibly versatile event venues, serves. You can truly have the wedding of your dreams here, courtesy of the incredibly hands-on and impossibly helpful hospitality team and dynamic ceremony and reception spaces. To that end, The Cordelle Garden is a private green space that will have your heart the second you see it. It features enchanting vegetation (which looks stunning in photos) and a 5,000-square-foot lawn that can [comfortably] accommodate tented and open-air events with up to 350 seated guests. Go big or go home, right?

The adjacent 1,000-square-foot covered patio stretches off The Victorian (bit more intimate, historic setting) and The Great Hall (a brighter, more open and airy party space) interiors to offer even more outdoor seating and grazing opportunities.

Cool things about weddings planned here:

  • The Furnished Loft is a fantastic spot to get ready in or share some time with your new husband or wife before your reception begins.
  • As you’re planning your wedding, you can purchase additional a la carte experiences/rentals/props for an elevated and more personalized touch.

Things to know in advance:

  • There are two other event venues operated by The Cordelle’s owners, The Saintelle, for larger gatherings, and The Estelle, for smaller events

OMG! Love this:

  • Couples who book with The Cordelle have access to the entire space, so you can brainstorm a fete with multiple layers of intrigue—every locale has its own respective personality.

It’s greenery for days in their garden, though…

Noelle

You don’t have to have ALL the options in the world to still have a totally dreamy wedding. In fact, we kind of love how the 1930s, Art Deco styling (original crown moldings, epic arching windows, rich marble encasements, and white oak flooring) at Noelle creates a stage-setting ambiance that really doesn’t need many more accouterments. Here, the Saidee Gallery, is your signature event space—and it can hold as little as 20 guests or up to 140. Right next door sits the Trade Room bar, for post-wedding drinks and bites, and when your favorite people need to go to sleep (once your Gatsy, but oh-so-clean and modern fete is finished), your room block will be the perfect place for them to retire for the night.

Cool things about weddings planned here:

  • If you’re saying ‘I do’ at Noelle, you can make it a whole wedding weekend and get savings because of it.
  • Your event manager will secure your room block and conceptualize the most fitting arrival experience to include goodie bags, transportation, and more.
  • Noelle has a thing for nuptials with flair, but you can get married elsewhere (so many partnerships with venues nearby) and just set up accommodations for your guests at Noelle—it’s an amazingly Nashville time.

OMG! Love this:

  • The space has so much character, but it’s also a blank canvas—and you can envision your day however you like (color pops against those white walls)

The Estate at Cherokee Dock

Nashville weddings don’t have to happen right in the epicenter of the city. They’re great that way, sure, but there’s also something to be said for an event nestled on Nashville’s outskirts. The Estate at Cherokee Dock is a luxury weddings and event venue situated on 15 acres of private waterfront property. The one-of-a-kind location has countless special spaces to get ready and hold your upcoming event, both indoor and out: from the Lakeside Lawn and Lakeview Event Center to the Serenity Gardens and Sunset Terrace. Plus, overnight accommodations, a saltwater pool (which is shaped like a guitar, because #MusicCityScene), a hot tub + a fire pit, and a playful pool house complete a recipe for the coolest after-party.

Cool things about weddings planned here:

  • The Estate teams up with Infinity Hospitality for full-service planning, design, and day-of evening execution (so, if you’re unsure how to put your party together, you have talent at your disposal)
  • The catering is done in-house, with an on-site kitchen.
  • Your planning team have multiple rain plan contingencies in place.
  • There’s a luxury bridal suite on the premises.

Things to know in advance:

  • While overnight accommodations are part of the picture, depending on the size of your event, some guests may need to sleep at the ‘overflow’ properties next door to The Estate.

OMG! Love this:

  • The ‘waterfront’ setting at The Estate lends itself to some awesome exit/departure strategies (of course, you’ll still need to make sure everything is approved by the venue/coordinated with your planning team).

Southall Meadows

Planning a wedding is no easy feat, and a lot of the time, the stress is unavoidable. But once everything has been covered, the event weekend is here, and the people you can’t wait to party with are there, then it’s officially time to relax and live in the moment. That’s what we love about weddings at Southall Meadows (not to be confused with Southall, which literally just opened for weddings, so you’ll want to keep them on your list, too!). Beyond the two inspired on-site celebration spaces, the modern farmhouse event hall and the hundred-year-old tobacco barn, each with its own unique feel—you have the option to add on other planning/design services like Coordination or Design Planning Services, Decor Package and Lighting + Drapery options. We love this because sometimes you know what looks good and what you want on your wedding day, but you have zero clue how to curate and execute it. No worries at all, the Southall Meadows design team can help you vision board, manage your budget, and put together an incredibly talented team of wedding vendors to bring everything to life.

Cool things about weddings planned here:

  • You can schedule an engagement photo sesh prior to the wedding.
  • The private getting-ready suites are superb.
  • Set on 200+ acres and surrounded by rolling hills and the West Harpeth River, the property offers gorgeous 360-degree views of the Tennessee countryside. The photo opps are outrageous – in the best way possible.

Things to know in advance:

  • Catering isn’t included with the event booking.
  • There are no on-site lodging accommodations for guests.

OMG! Love this:

  • There are so many places to curate lush lounge areas for your guests-check out the indoor and outdoor.

Cedarwood Weddings

All-inclusive is a fun buzzword that comes up a lot with wedding venues, but it’s rarely ever truly that: all-inclusive. At Cedarwood Mansion, the hype is warranted, because booking here really means you’ll get top-to-bottom wedding direction and execution. Your pricing includes exclusive use of their estate venue, planning, event design+styling, production, and directing, plus all essential amenities for an exquisite wedding celebration. Invitations, catering, cake and music are provided, as well as exquisite designer floral, linen, and décor from our on-site design studio. And let’s be clear, when we say all-inclusive, we don’t mean one-size-fits-all, in any regard. Your wedding can be romantic, boho, classic, modern, rustic, vintage, indie/ethereal, and with the style-forward staff catering to your every whim, your wedding will be a cohesive, statement-making representation of your love story.

While many of the specific rates and outlining of packages aren’t revealed on their site, you can check out their open event calendar and peruse their blog for real weddings.

OMG! Love this:

  • Open-air pavilions are our love language, and one of Cedarwood’s crowning jewels.

Graystone Quarry

Southern charm is alive and well in this extra special property boasting Graystone Quarry Limestone, locally-grown and milled wood, covered porches, vintage and artisan furnishings, handcrafted accents, and warm, modern lighting. And unlike some of the venues on this list, they’re not a farm, not a barn, and not a historic estate—they’re in a league of their own. You have so many options to stage your big day, all of which channel Graystone’s mountain lodge-inspired architecture and let outdoor and indoor spaces coalesce (seriously, the slide-away glass doors are a hallmark) for a truly thoughtful and contemplative celebration.

Cool things about weddings planned here:

  • It’s a one-and-done booking experience with Graystone, meaning you’re set with all-star vendors (who know this space, fully, inside and out) when you sign your contract. **This is a pro, of course, but it can also be a bit stifling if you already had vendors in mind for your wedding.
  • The venue holds a Green Wedding Professional Certification, so if eco-friendliness is especially important to you, you can achieve it here.

OMG! Love this:

  • As big as the Gathering Hall is, you can still create an exceptionally memorable event for big and smaller guest counts. We love how the design team puts winding reception tables together.

Mint Springs Farm

Mint Springs Farm, located just 30 minutes outside of Nashville, Tennessee on a 40-acre property nestled in the rolling hillsides of beautiful Williamson County, makes wedding day magic possible by way of stellar service from your first venue visit to your last goodbye at the end of the night. Throughout your engagement, you can remain calm knowing that the staff at the recently owner-flipped farm is keeping tabs on exactly how you will be getting married. You’ll have access to an incredible, curated assemblage of styling and staging props— complimentary details like custom-built farm tables, cross-back chairs, designer linens, and lounge seating for those fun social media moments—and a second in command to help you pull it all together. High touch or low touch, the type of service and communication style you feel comfortable with is what Mint Springs Farm will put into effect.

Cool things about weddings planned here:

  • They’re all-inclusive, head-to-toe, which means your event will be flawlessly executed from conception to planning, day-of setup to breakdown.
  • The team of vendors that are aligned with Mint Springs Farm weddings has collaborated together multiple times over, and every wedding is an ensemble effort.
  • There’s a bridal suite AND a groom’s loft. The bride’s quarters include an a outdoor balcony that has a beautiful view of our reception barn, ceremony pavilion and lake, all backdropped by the Tennessee Hills.

Things to know in advance:

  • On-site accommodations for guests aren’t available, and shuttle service to nearby lodging isn’t included—you’ll need to coordinate
  • Photographers, videographers, and stationers are not included in the all-inclusive vendor lineup. As these are three of THE MOST personalized attributes about a wedding.

OMG! Love this:

  • From the open-air ceremony pavilion to the portraits on their grounds, Mint Springs Farm has light, bright, and airy down to a science
