No One Does It Like New Orleans

New Orleans is far more than Bourbon Street and debauchery. For intimate weddings where social distancing is the priority, there are countless properties perfect for saying “I do.” From rooftop restaurants to charming outdoor courtyards, NOLA might be the perfect road trip destination for your wedding away.

The Ace Hotel is by far one of the coolest hotels in the area. Just outside of the French Quarter in the Warehouse District, this property offers chic accommodations, thoughtful private areas ideal for small weddings and outstanding food options.

For a rooftop setting, The Ace has a gorgeous view of the city and their restaurant, Alto, serves up fresh, interesting cuisine. Open only to hotel guests, you’ll need to snag a room and a reservation for your small group. This rooftop garden bar and restaurant is also home to their pool and is nothing short of magnificent in both service and style.

For a group less than 20 and interested in a full buy-out, check into the Audubon Cottages. These historic cottages combine to offer seven one-and-two-bedroom suites all centered around a courtyard with the oldest pool in New Orleans.

The outdoor, brick-covered courtyard is as quintessential to NOLA as a beignet or a muffuletta. These secluded spaces are everywhere in the French Quarter and one of our favorites for micro-weddings is at Bourbon Orleans Hotel. The Saint Ann Cottage is a real must-see for weddings and features its own private entrance and two elegant rooms surrounding a central courtyard for weddings up to 50 guests.

When it comes to socially responsible activities in New Orleans, the outdoors is your best bet. Groups can embark on a three hour “Creole & Crescent” bike tour courtesy of Free Wheelin’ in the heart of The French Quarter. Learn the multifarious and fascinating history of the area while taking in the sights, sounds and the sensation that is this incredible destination. Walking tours are also an option for those who prefer.

No matter what you see or do, New Orleans is a great destination for weddings and ideal for couples wanting to elope or keep their group intimate.
