Whether you’re planning a snow-filled fairytale wedding, a ceremony set amongst a backdrop of golds and yellows, or summer nuptials backed by lush greenery, Vail is a year-round wedding destination. Known for its charming Bavarian-style village tucked away in the Gore Mountain Range, the Vail Valley has a long list of venues with views of surrounding mountain peaks.

Eagle’s Nest & Holy Cross Event Deck

When ski season isn’t in session, Vail Resorts offers up several of its resort-operated restaurants, lodges, and venues for weddings and other private events. Couples seeking a luxury wedding feel up in the mountains can look no further than Vail Resorts’ Holy Cross Event Deck ceremony site, followed by a reception at Eagle’s Nest, both offering 360-degree mountain views and including gondola transportation for a fun, scenic journey up to your big day.

The Arrabelle at Vail Square

Vail Resorts has several venues available at the base, including two sites within The Arrabelle at Vail Square, a hotel and residences with an on-site restaurant in Lionshead Village. Arrabelle Square’s luxury clear top tent has breathtaking views of the ski resort and provides a memorable grand entrance for the newlyweds down a cobblestone staircase into the reception space. Just inside the hotel, The Great Room is perfect for intimate weddings of up to 60 and features floor-to-ceiling windows for uninterrupted mountain views.

Four Seasons Resort & Residences Vail

Four Seasons Vail is an iconic hotel set in Vail Village and a stunning setting for luxury weddings. Their pool terrace is Instagram-worthy, with an aisle running over the pool and ceremony chairs set up along either side. The altar is set within the pool pavilion, with the backdrop of mountain peaks emerging above the rustic stone building. This unique space is available for ceremonies and receptions, or groups can transfer to their elegant Bighorn Ballroom. The venue has space for up to 200 guests and can be curated to match intimate or grand wedding visions.

Vail Golf and Nordic Clubhouse

Available for weddings year-round, Vail Golf and Nordic Clubhouse is an expansive venue just two miles from Vail Village. The entire site provides breathtaking vistas of the Gore Mountain Range over the rolling golf course. Couples can choose from the secluded, private wedding island, the cocktail lawn, and the clubhouse for their events. The clubhouse has a rustic, mountain feel with metal light fixtures and wood beams running across the tall ceilings. The venue has all of the features for your quintessential mountain wedding and can fit up to 160 guests.

Donovan Pavilion

A very popular wedding spot in Vail, Donovan Pavilion is just two miles west of Lionshead Village and set right along Gore Creek with a mountain backdrop. The lodge-style building has towering floor-to-ceiling windows, with exposed wooden beams and candelabra chandeliers hanging from the ceiling. Ceremonies and cocktail hours are typically held on the patio behind the building, with mountain peaks visible just over the aspens and evergreens. Donovan Pavilion can hold up to 200 guests and is perfect for the couple that wants to personalize everything. In addition to the space, the venue provides tables and cross-backed chairs and allows the group to bring in any external vendor they’d like.

EagleVail Pavilion

One of Vail’s more affordable venues, EagleVail Pavilion is located between Vail and Beaver Creek on a small lake and spacious lawn. The event lawn and waterfront deck provide a gorgeous backdrop for your ceremony and cocktail hour, while the interior main room has space for a large, 200-person reception.

Grand Hyatt Vail Resort and Spa

The Grand Hyatt Vail Resort and Spa is just west of Lionshead Village, set away from the hustle and bustle of the village, featuring a sleek, sophisticated design inspired by the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. The expansive hotel has six separate venues to mix and match for your ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. The Gore Creek Garden and Core Creek Terrace provide mountain views across the creek, while the Zen Garden is on the other side of the building, next to Gore Pavilion, the tented reception space. The tent is a blank canvas, available to transform for any theme from rustic, nature-inspired to dazzling glam. Inside, the Hyatt has two large ballrooms, the Cascade Ballroom and Zermatt Ballroom, with room for massive weddings of several hundred guests. The hotel also has its own chairlift, perfect for snapping an iconic, ski-inspired newlywed photo.

Piney River Ranch

Accessible from late-June through late-September, Piney River Ranch is a great venue for summer brides and grooms who want the charm of Vail with the beauty of Colorado’s backcountry. The 40-acre ranch is in the heart of the White River National Forest, surrounded by backcountry wilderness and 45 minutes up the mountain from Vail. With space for up to 200 guests, the ranch is surrounded by nature on all sides and home to an alpine lake for a true mountaintop wedding experience. The event deck on Piney Lake provides a stunning ceremony backdrop, while the cocktail and reception pavilion is steps apart for seamless transitions between events. Though the venue comes with six guest cabins and three glamping tents, transportation is necessary for guests staying in the Vail area. The couple also has access to getting ready suites on-site, so day-of wedding prep is stress-free for the wedding parties.

Beano’s Cabin

Similar to Vail, Beaver Creek offers several lodges and restaurants that double as event venues during the off-season. Accommodating up to 150 guests, Beano’s Cabin is one of their more popular–and most luxurious–venues, located in the heart of Beaver Creek Ski Resort. The ceremony is typically held on the lawn, featuring lush wildflowers or bright fall foliage, depending on the time of year. Dinner is typically held inside around a crackling stone fireplace, followed by dancing under the stars in a clear tent set atop their wraparound deck.

The Ritz-Carlton Bachelor Gulch

Located in Bachelor Gulch in the center of Beaver Creek Ski Resort, The Ritz Carlton Bachelor Gulch has several stunning ceremony and reception sites with panoramic mountain views. Aptly named, the Mountainside Terrace sits behind the hotel, looking up several ski runs, while the nearby Grand Lawn is located on the other side of the Bachelor Gulch Express Lift with similar, breathtaking views. Skier Bridge Lawn is a unique outdoor venue and provides guests with sweeping views of the valley and the National Forest. Colorado nights can get chilly and noise ordinances require music be shut off at 10:00 pm, so indoor receptions are available for cooler times of year and groups that want to dance late into the night. The Ritz-Carlton has several indoor ballrooms of varying sizes and the nearby Anderson Cabin, an intimate space for up to 65, within the original home of one of the seven bachelors who settled in the area in the early 1900s.

The Westin Riverfront Resort & Spa

The Westin Riverfront Resort & Spa is a one-stop shop for ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception space, with views of Beaver Creek Resort just beyond each of the event spaces. The hotel is located in Avon, just down the mountain from the ski resort, with easy access to the mountain via a gondola or shuttle services. The Riverside Wedding Lawn overlooks the Eagle River with distant views of the ski trails for an elegant, alpine backdrop. From there, guests typically move up to the outdoor terrace for cocktail hour, followed by a reception in their recently renovated ballroom with the option to keep the doors open until noise ordinances kick in. The spaces are all steps away from each other and within the hotel, making for a convenient, seamless event for guests and vendors alike.

Vail Valley’s mountain scenery is spectacular, but there are so many reasons why couples choose Vail and Beaver Creek for their special day. Known for being an epicenter for outdoor adventure and luxury experiences, Vail guarantees guests a fun-filled wedding weekend exploring nearby hiking trails, ski mountains, golf courses, award-winning spas, high-end boutiques, and more. The region also has a wealth of world-class vendors to help bring any couple’s perfect wedding vision to life, earning its well-deserved reputation as a premier wedding destination.
