What do you get when you put childhood memories, a love story, and the color pink together? The answer is a dream wedding straight from a fairytale. 

Joshua and Jamie fell in love with the charms of Charleston, South Carolina at a young age as each had grown up spending time in the city. However, it wasn’t until later in their lives that the city they loved as kids would become the place where they found each other. 

From falling in love in the city of cobblestone streets and horse-drawn carriages to joining hands in marriage one place was always present; Charleston. When the couple began planning for their wedding they knew the perfect place, and their loved ones were right there with them.

“All of our family and friends were on board! I mean who doesn’t want to visit Charleston?” the bride says.

Though their plans were set in stone, their process was not without its own challenges. As the global pandemic struck, Joshua and Jamie were left making the hard decision to postpone their wedding until the trip was safe enough for themselves and their loved ones. For the couple, the big changes were only small waves as their wedding planners immediately were back to the drawing boards. 

“As if planning a wedding wasn’t stressful enough, adding in a destination wedding could have made it over the top, but having Pure Luxe Bride made it seamless, effortless, easy, and downright perfect,” the bride says. “They even handled the pandemic and postponing our wedding with poise, grace, and ease!” 

With their wedding in the distance, time flew by and it was finally safe enough for them to celebrate their love in the city where it blossomed. 

The guests arrived and enjoyed days of adventures before the big day arrived, and soon it was time to celebrate and paint the city pink. With glittering rose gold bridesmaids’ dresses and bright splashes of hot pink flowers wrapped in soft pink bouquets, the wedding ceremony was one whose splash of color brought out the joy in people who hadn’t seen each other in so long.

Guests dined on tables blanketed by baby pink cloth and danced the night away beneath floral arrangements fluffed with greenery and dotted with pink flowers. While some danced and others enjoyed rosé, everyone experienced Charleston and the love story that brought them all to it. 

As the night drew to a close, each guest and the couple were surrounded by pink, a color that symbolizes romance and that feeling of first falling in love.
