In a picturesque corner of Mexico, nestled in the state of Querétaro, a team of passionate wedding professionals came together to create magic. The brainchild behind this stunning endeavor was Claudia De Velasco, the mastermind planner and owner of A Day To Remember, a boutique wedding planning agency. In an interview, Claudia graciously shared insights into the creative process and the vibrant theme behind this Querétaro wedding photoshoot.

The spark for this styled shoot ignited when Claudia was contacted by a newly opened venue in the area. Eager to showcase the venue’s unique charm and make a lasting impact, Claudia, with her discerning eye for design, immediately fell in love with the space. “After spending two days onsite, we agreed on a styled shoot to provide content for their new space,” she says.

Inspired by the venue’s medieval-style arched ceilings and stone walls, Claudia and her team envisioned a colorful and joyful palette. “Vibrant colors continue to go strong, so we wanted a mixture of bold colors playing together,” Claudia explains. The venue’s unique architecture and natural elements served as the perfect backdrop for a celebration bursting with life and warmth.

The ceremony setup was a feast for the eyes, with lush florals and soft seating arrangements designed to brighten the space. “We wanted to steer away from traditional row seating and create a more intimate and inviting atmosphere,” Claudia shares. The resulting design not only complemented the venue’s aesthetic but also enhanced the overall experience for guests.

The reception, held in the same space as the ceremony, was a masterful display of depth and texture. “Lounge vignettes were nestled between guests’ tables, featuring coffee tables laden with mini dessert stations,” Claudia describes. The design incorporated a mix of floral arrangements, from cascading pieces to low-setting floral arrangements, creating a layered and cohesive look.

One of the most remarkable aspects of this photo shoot was the seamless collaboration among the team of vendors. “I have a history working with Daniel Colvin Photography, given our brands align with our ideal couples, and I wanted to ensure each team member shared the same brand and values,” Claudia emphasizes. The result was a harmonious blend of creativity and dedication, evident in every detail captured through the lens.

“The location was breathtaking, the energy all around,” she recalls fondly. “As a planner, I thrive on the chaos of the production stages, seeing everything unfold throughout the day into something so beautiful.”
