Are you planning on having a boho theme for your destination wedding? Then you have come to just the right place for primo boho inspo!

This styled shoot took place on the Portuguese coast where tall cliffs drop off to an endless oceanic horizon. We got the pleasure of speaking with the photographer behind the gorgeous wedding shoot, Bárbara of Mémorelle Weddings, and she gave us the inside scoop on how it all came together below!

“Just a few short months after I spoke with some of the other vendors for the first time, we were ready to embark on the adventure of conducting a collaborative styled wedding shoot.

Our first step was to find a style that best fit the beautiful destination that is the coast of Portugal. We all agreed to keep the overall look and feel of the shoot simple and let the destination speak for itself. Thus, the idea for a boho decor concept.

For the bridal gown, the team decided on a dress from Portuguese fashion designer, Joana Montez. With light, 100 percent natural fabric, a flowy skirt with little volume, and a mix of patterns, this gown was made for brides who prefer a more relaxed/casual style on their W-day.

For the groom, we decided to go for a relaxed suit in a light tone to show how free he feels when he is around his bride.

The makeup and hair were done by Vanessa Marinho who transformed and brought together the bride’s entire look.

The Portuguese coast is full of amazing locations for wedding photos, but we chose a very special place called Praia Princesa (Princess Beach) in Costa da Caparica very close to Lisbon. Being airy, white and simply decorated, it was the perfect place as a base for our boho decor done by Fashion Moments Eventos, who organized the shoot.

We made the beach the main focus. We used a wooden triangle decked in dried and fresh flowers for the altar.

The reception tables were covered in colors of terracotta, red, sand, brown and some pink notes. A cloud made of flowers and pampas was suspended above the couple’s table.

The unifying contrast that existed between the ground, the sea and the air was an aspect that complmeted the  whole asethic.

We believe that such a sweeping result would not have been possible were it not for the tight and clear communication from all the suppliers. The choices made by this talented team resulted in unbelievable photos and videos by Memorelle Weddings, bringing inspiration to future brides and grooms keen on a boho style wedding.”
