Taryn Stark Wyant Event Planning and Design recently conceptualized a stunning editorial shoot in the beautiful city of Paris to expand their brand worldwide and to gain a more elevated experience in servicing European events. Deeply inspired by “The Fashion Capital” itself, this team of exceptional wedding vendors paid homage to the setting while inspiring the destination elopement client to picture their day as an opportunity to adventure! So, without further ado, we pass the mic to our friend, Taryn, to walk us through the thought behind each included element.

“The hotel with which we partnered is a Luxury Collection property, filled with modern opulence and high-fashion ambiance. Much like the city of Paris, haute couture inspired our classic design in black and white, but we aimed to add a bit of softness in one selection of attire, in the bouquet, and in the dinner reception showpiece tree.

Instead of hosting a ceremony, we opted to host an intimate, romantic stroll down the Champs Elyse, Paris’ most famous shopping street. Couture lined the path as we sauntered and flirted towards the iconic Arc de Triomphe in the sprinkling rain. The bride clutched a petite bouquet of lilies of the valley while nodding to her heritage with an elegant afro.

The reception looks were twofold. The first was in the Japanese Akira Back restaurant located at the Prince de Galles. Here, our personal chef-curated delicacies surrounding sushi and sashimi while our couple cuddled in a private booth. Elegant blooms of ivory and evergreen adorned the table and our bride dressed in her more romantic look, a traditional wedding gown. The second look was hosted in the private dining room of Bar 19.20 in the Prince de Galles. Masculine hues of mahogany, black, and red entrenched the space, so we brought romance to the atmosphere with a blooming Chinese cherry blossom tree in shades of pale pink. Our exceptional floral designer, Moss Floral Designs, brought in a tree to crown the dining table as blooms fell softly onto our centerpieces.

Our incredible team of vendors worked together exceptionally well! A combined collection of vendors from both Paris and the United States, we partnered beautifully to promote a modern, elegant affair. One of the best parts of hosting this editorial shoot was the opportunity it provided to get to know and work with such talented local vendors! Our contact at the Prince de Galles could not have been more accommodating, our hair and makeup stylist was on-point every step of the way (and even managed to fix my messy hair before the end of the day), our models were some of the most lovely professionals I’ve ever had the privilege to work with, and our culinary team was nothing short of spectacular.

My favorite part of this editorial shoot was at the end during the second dinner reception look. We had purchased attire for each of the vendors to wear during this part of the shoot so that we could showcase a group experience. We sipped champagne, sampled traditional Parisian cuisine, and exchanged congratulations on an exceptional shoot! What a joy to soak in the moment with our partners!”
