Step into the realm of timeless beauty as we take you on a journey to Charleston, a city renowned for its captivating allure and rich history. Nestled within this historic gem, a styled wedding shoot awaits, showcasing the fusion of Greek inspirations and the southern charm of Charleston. Jacqueline Clark, the shoot’s photographer, gives us all the details below:

“It all started with a little Greek sandal. Rebecca Gradler, owner of Kheloni and local Charleston designer inspired by her Greek heritage, introduced a line of shoes and accessories to the Lowcountry fashion scene. With Charleston being a luxury wedding destination with coastal vibes, Kheloni’s “Efi” sandal sparked an idea amongst us creatives. We decided to “marry” (yes, pun intended) the elegance and history of Charleston, South Carolina with the beautiful aesthetics found in Greek culture.

We set the scene at the historic Society Hall, downtown. The crisp whites, verandas, and ionic Greek columns blended with our theme flawlessly. We used this blank canvas to frame a color palette consisting of Mediterranean blues and earthy whites that mingled with the soft greens of the florals provided by Creech’s Florist. The table decor was layered with antique vases and taper candles of all shapes and sizes giving the table the texture and depth it needed to emulate the Greek Isles. We even incorporated touches of pink amongst the florals, bridesmaid dress, and Kheloni’s “Maria” sandal worn by the bridesmaids.

In keeping with all things Southern, we brought down University of South Carolina athletes and real-life couple, Luke Doty and Sammy Ansel, to model as our bride and groom. Their chemistry was impeccable! Surrounded by some extremely talented bridesmaids and decorated by local favorites (BerlinsModern TrousseauBella BridesmaidsPolly’s Jelwery), we could not have pulled together a better group of souls for this project. Paired with our incredibly talented style team from Silhouette on Site and Brie Tallman Hair, the look was unstoppable!

To round out what was a romantic affair, we completed the shoot with a fun honeymoon exit featuring a vintage 1960s Ford Bronco provided by WhipDash. We continued this scene with an outfit change and glorious sunset overlooking the Ashley River as the newlyweds planned their Greek getaway. We hope you enjoyed this collaboration as much as we did! Yamas!”
