As many Fall/Winter 2025 bridal collections made debuts at this October’s New York Bridal Fashion Week, we got a glimpse at what brides can expect to see hitting the salon racks next fall.
We partnered with destination wedding planner, Deborah Kugler of Officialé to help us get a first-hand understanding of some of the top designers’ specific approaches to their 2025 collections.
Effortless Romance and Femininity
Justin Alexander’s FW 2025 collection “Nocturne Symphony” stood out for its delicate and feminine appeal, featuring a variety of silhouettes designed to complement all body shapes. Kugler notes, “The most striking trait of Justin Alexander’s collection is that it is effortlessly romantic, delicate, and feminine…whatever gown the model wore down the runway, she was magnetic, like a renaissance painting, or a Neruda poem in motion.”
Quiet Luxury at its Finest
Romona Keveža is known for her mastery of “quiet luxury.” Kugler explains, “Her [Bridal 2025] collection is dripping in royalty and wealth without the bells and whistles.” With a focus on luxurious drapery, voluminous fabrics, and long bridal button trains, Romona Keveža’s bride exudes a regal presence. For brides looking for understated opulence, Romona’s collection delivers a powerful, iconic look.
Drama and Performance
Vietnamese designer Pham Dang Anh Thu of JoliPoli Couture captivated attendees with a collection that radiates drama. Kugler praises the designer for her ability to make every bride the center of attention: “Her brides are the biggest performers and celebrities in Asia.” Anh Thu’s JoliPoli gowns featured dazzling details like beads, crystals, metallic thread, and appliques, all crafted to catch the light and turn the bride into a “walking chandelier.”
Urban Glamour and Modern Retro Vibes
Badgley Mischka Bridal’s Fall 2025 collection leaned into cosmopolitan chic, with designs that seemed tailor-made for city brides. “The designs imagine different types of wise, sage-like power women,” Kugler tells us, highlighting one standout gown featuring a mermaid silhouette, black trim, and a black net polka-dot veil. This collection brings modern retro glamour to bridal fashion, offering gowns suited for grand ballrooms, rooftop lounges, or museum weddings.
Whimsy and Playfulness
For the bride who wants to embrace her free-spirited side, Viktor & Rolf’s “Mariage” collection brought a playful, youthful energy to the runway. The designs were filled with ruffles, evoking the image of a bride frolicking in an open field. “The bride that Viktor & Rolf pictured is a free-spirited maiden, rebellious and risky but extremely self-aware and self-fulfilled,” Kugler says. The collection’s whimsical designs are perfect for brides who want to take a playful, yet bold approach to their wedding day.
The Key Takeaway
Deborah Kugler sums it up best when she says: “There is clearly more than one gown for every bride getting married in 2025. The key is for the person to define what kind of bride they would like to be on that day, and what kind of story they would like to tell their future children and grandchildren as they gaze at their wedding photo albums.”
With such a wide range of options, brides-to-be have much to look forward to in the upcoming season—whether they dream of quiet luxury, high drama, or something uniquely their own.
