Kacey and Rami’s love story began in a serendipitous encounter at Rami’s jewelry store. What started as a routine appraisal visit turned into something more when Kacey realized they were already connected through mutual friends on Instagram. With courage and a touch of fate, Kacey reached out to Rami, and their connection quickly grew. A spark was ignited, setting the stage for a beautiful romance.

“Rami and I always knew we wanted to do something ‘different.’ We did not want to do a traditional wedding in New Jersey,” Kacey says, “so we decided to look into several destinations and landed in Italy!”

Cheryl Pagano, a Sorrento wedding planner for Bella Sposa, presented them with a comprehensive selection of venues that aligned perfectly with their vision. The couple’s dreams materialized when they discovered the Excelsior Vittoria, a breathtaking venue that offered Michelin-star cuisine and awe-inspiring views.

“The first thing Rami and I shared with Cheryl is that we wanted to get married in a Catholic church,” the bride says. “This was something that was very important to us.”

To enhance the beauty of their surroundings, Kacey and Rami chose a light, white, and green color scheme, allowing the natural backdrop to shine. Their attention to detail extended to the DIY projects, where Kacey’s father’s printing expertise brought their personalized wedding signs, menus, and table numbers to life. With the assistance of their remarkable wedding planner, their vision for a simple and elegant aesthetic was flawlessly executed.

Their church after-party at La Tagliata, a farm-to-table restaurant, ensured their guests experienced the best of both worlds. The culinary delights became an integral part of their Italian adventure.

Planning a wedding from afar can be a daunting task, but Kacey and Rami’s wedding planner became their guiding light throughout the process. Monthly Zoom meetings provided clarity and reassurance, allowing the couple to place their trust in Cheryl’s expertise. While Kacey made a pre-wedding visit to Italy with her mother to ensure everything was in order, she quickly realized that her wedding planner had already handled every detail flawlessly.

“Honestly,” Kacey says, “while this was so helpful if I had not gone I still would have been fine. That’s how easy Cheryl made it for us.”

Reflecting on their experience, Kacey and Rami are convinced that their wedding would have been vastly different had they chosen to celebrate at home. By opting for a destination wedding in Italy, they were able to create a week-long celebration filled with joy, laughter, and unforgettable moments. From a beach party with friends to impromptu encounters on the streets of Sorrento, their guests were treated to an immersive experience that transcended the boundaries of a traditional wedding.

“Take a deep breath and enjoy the ride. Put your trust in the planning. Remember that the day is about you and your partner- nothing else. As long as the two of you are there it will be amazing. I would recommend a destination wedding 100 times over. It was the best decision we made, and have a week to look back and remember.”
