The number of elopements are sure to go up due to all the stay-at-home orders right now. So even if you had always planned to elope or because of quarantine measures, plan to elope now and celebrate as a group later, you’re going to need some inspiration.
We fell madly in love with this super 70’s inspired hippie elopement in the desert of Las Vegas. Tiffany Fleming, the creator of The Counterfeit Wedding and owner of Jekalo Photography, dreamt up the concept for this unexpected Vegas shoot and enlisted her A-team to help bring her design to life.
Shot in the Nevada desert in a location called Mountains Edge, the soft desert light, juxtaposed with the rocky landscape was the ideal backdrop for macramé, pampas grass and muted colors.
Real couple, Kim and David Paz, are from San Diego and traveled out to the desert to make this photo shoot come together. With throwback songs from Earth Wind & Fire and the BeeGees playing on a Bluetooth speaker, the two danced, snuggled close and shared in special moments as the cameras were rolling.
The “hippie” themed shoot complete with braids, peace signs and natural glam united seamlessly with the fresh and dried flower designs, hand written signage and unique low-profile reception table.
