Dallas, Texas played a unique role in Nini, a social worker with Nigerian and American roots, and Serge, a CEO with a similar background, meeting and starting their love story. A friend’s pre-wedding party brought them together, but it wasn’t quite smooth sailing from the start. However, fate had other plans, and a few months later, their paths crossed again. Fast forward to their stunning destination wedding in Dubai, a celebration that beautifully intertwined their love story, family traditions, and breathtaking scenery.

Dubai’s allure as a wedding destination is undeniable, and for Nini and Serge, it was the perfect blend of beauty, accessibility, and warm weather. “We wanted a location that was easy to accommodate our family from all around the world,” Nini explains. “[Dubai] was a great central location for everyone to meet.”

The couple’s wedding planner played a pivotal role in their journey, suggesting the idyllic venue at the Four Seasons Hotel. “As soon as I saw it,” Serge recalls, “I knew it was the perfect location for our dream wedding.”

The ceremony itself was a beautiful reflection of their love and the merging of their families. Held outdoors in the hotel’s picturesque garden, the ceremony incorporated a unity sand ceremony, a symbolic gesture of their two families uniting as one.

Planning a wedding from afar can be daunting, but Nini and Serge credit their amazing wedding planner with making the process seamless. “Having a wedding planner was the most helpful!” Nini says. They also emphasized the importance of pre-wedding site visits, which allowed them to truly envision their special day.

Nini and Serge’s decision to have a destination wedding allowed them to create a more intimate and curated experience. “The guest count would have been a lot larger if our wedding was at home,” Serge says. In Dubai, they were able to host a multi-day celebration, complete with a welcome party and a romantic boat cruise.

For couples considering a destination wedding, Nini and Serge’s advice is unequivocal: “Hire a wedding planner and wedding professionals.” Their trust in the expertise of their wedding team allowed them to relax and enjoy their dream wedding weekend.
