When love came knocking for these two, it came perfectly packaged and delivered right to Kenny’s door. While traveling through San Francisco and staying with a friend, Elisa met Kenny and their love story began.

When it came time to decide where to have their wedding, a celebration in Mexico seemed a perfect choice. “Given that I am Canadian and Kenny is American, all of our family and friends live in different cities throughout the world,” says Elisa. “We knew people would need to fly no matter where we chose to host our wedding. More importantly, we wanted to extend the amount of precious time we would have with everyone all together in one place,” recalls the bride.

After a year of investigating and planning, an eager group of 110 made the journey.

The couple chose Sayulita because of its charm, convenience and flexibility. “It’s small enough that everyone could easily get together every day at the beach or in town for a meal, but large enough that it offers something for every taste,” says the bride.

The wedding day was everything they dreamed of and more. From the driftwood-canopy set on the beach for their personalized ceremony and the mariachi escort leading them to their villa reception, to the dance party that lasted until 6 a.m., this couple got exactly what they hoped for.

“I knew I wanted a fairytale landscape and, with ample pre-planning and our amazing wedding planner’s help, I had my dream come true,” recalls Elisa.

As for what touched them most about their wedding week, it was hard to narrow it down, but this was a stand-out: “We put so much love out to our guests and they gave us so much back! To see all of our friends and family come together laughing, dancing and sharing in support of us and our love is something we will cherish forever.”
