John and Brittany have known each other since they were children. When they reconnected as adults after years of attending the same gatherings, they never could have imagined they would go from childhood friends to bride and groom exchanging vows at a lush sanctuary in Cabo. 

In order to keep their special day small and intimate, the couple chose to host a destination wedding. It didn’t take long for them to decide that Cabo was the perfect spot for it.

“I started looking online for locations for possible destination weddings and I came across some locations in Cabo and I instantly fell in love. From that moment, I knew Cabo was the place our wedding was meant to take place,” the bride says. 

The couple teamed up with Bliss Events to make their dream of a vibrant, tropical wedding a reality.

“I knew I wanted bright, fun colors with a bit of a boho vibe. I don’t even know how I would have described what I was looking for but after talking to the Bliss Events teams and sharing pinterest pictures they were able to make the vision I had come to life,” the bride says.

The ceremony took place at Acre Baja, a 25-acre oasis of prolific greenery. Twinkling lights were strung along the trees and vivacious flowers in hues of red and pink decorated the wooden tables. 

Fluffy pampas grass lined the aisle, which perfectly complemented the bride’s feathery shoes. Everything from the decadent treats to the geometric tiled dance floor added to the lively and enchanting atmosphere of the night. 

Though not all of the couple’s friends and family were able to attend, those who made the trip were glad they did. “They absolutely loved it and really enjoyed that they were able to spend several days with everyone who came to celebrate rather than just the wedding,” the couple says.

After having such a great experience both planning and enjoying the wedding, John and Brittany learned a lot about what it takes to make everything run smoothly.

“I would hands-down recommend a wedding planner. It makes your life so much easier especially when you are not familiar with the area. Your wedding planner will keep you on track, on budget, give advice, and can answer any and all questions. I would also recommend taking a moment with your significant other to enjoy the moment and take it all in – the night is so amazing but it goes by so fast!! The only thing I would change about our wedding is possibly hiring a videographer. I never wanted one…however, after the wedding the one thing I wish I would have done was get a videographer to relive this special night,” the bride says.
