Caroline dreamed of a beach wedding ever since she was a little girl, knowing from the start that she wanted to say “I do” in a place with crystalline waters and never-ending sunshine. After accompanying the groom, Stewart, and his family on a trip to Montego Bay, Jamaica, she knew right away that this was the destination she had been dreaming of.

“Stewart’s family went to the Montego Bay Area every Thanksgiving since he could remember. I started going with his family three years ago and absolutely fell in LOVE with Round Hill. It has so much character, history, and the layout of the resort makes it truly one of a kind,” the bride says.

With the perfect destination selected, the couple got to work planning their big day. They relied on their wedding planner for helpful advice and also consulted family to make sure everything would come together perfectly at the beautiful Round Hill Hotel

“My wedding planner, Brian Worley was amazing in planning. Nicki Korman, his partner in crime, helped with the coordination side on-site and day of. I also have to give a shoutout to my mom who has the best taste and helped me keep the trains on the track,” the bride says.

Many details were added to accentuate the beauty and lively spirit of the destination, such as fresh coconuts and Jamaican rum. And, instead of a guest book, they put out acrylic pineapple ornaments for guests to sign as they arrived.

The couple was particularly excited to make the wedding a weekend event where guests could mingle, relax and soak in the sunshine for multiple days.

When the big day arrived, white and gold chairs were set out on a stretch of soft, green grass overlooking the glistening waters. A bed of white flower petals served as a beautiful trail to a leafy green arch which was weaved with blooming floral accents.

After the ceremony, everyone dined under glowing lanterns with a perfect ocean view. A live band sang as the couple danced, and there were even fountains of sparks shooting out to add to the magical quality of the night.

Caroline and Stewart always knew they wanted a destination wedding, and they wouldn’t have had it any other way. They imagine what it would have been like had they not pursued their dreams of having a destination wedding. “We wouldn’t have gotten to spend quality time with all of our guests; our guests wouldn’t have gotten to know each other so well; it is also fun to see all your guests on a trip for themselves just as much as making the trek for the wedding! All around it makes a weekend FULL of memories versus one night,” the couple says.

Their weekend was everything they had dreamed of from the resort to the dazzling decorations, but the best part of all was getting to spend time with each other. “It was the best weekend of our lives! We recommend taking in every last second and living in the moment and JUST ENJOY your new husband and/or wife, and all the people that made the trip to celebrate you! Then lots of things are out of your control…. try to remember that and the most important part is that you are marrying your person,” the couple says.
