Kay and Quinlan’s Oahu wedding was a dreamy destination affair that left everyone in attendance in awe. The couple, who had been vacationing in Oahu, Hawaii for years, knew that it was the perfect place to tie the knot. The central location also made it a convenient destination for guests traveling from both the US and Asia.

“We heard many wonderful things about the Four Seasons Ko’Olina, and went to visit the venue and immediately became our top choice,” the couple says.

Luckily for Kay and Quinlan, the venue already had elegant decor on offer, so the couple chose to add a few minimal extras to enhance the setting.

Planning a destination wedding can be a daunting task, but Kay and Quinlan had the help of a wedding planner from Cherished In Hawaii Weddings who made the process a breeze. Although they did not do a pre-wedding site visit, they trusted their planner to handle all the details.

“We knew that the couple had elegant tastes and wanted their wedding to be memorable for them and their guests,” says the planner.

For the ceremony itself, Kay and Quinlan decided to incorporate several traditional elements into their ceremony. They opted for an oceanside ceremony where they could enjoy the sunset and the gorgeous Ko’Olina scenery.

“We included a private tea ceremony,” Quinlan says, “which is a traditional Chinese tradition. Kay’s parents wore traditional Korean outfits as well.”

Kay and Quinlan’s reception featured the finest selections from the Four Seasons menu. Beautiful decor carried the color scheme of white and pops of baby blue throughout. Finally, the canopy of twinkly lights added a magical feel to the evening.

When asked if they had any advice for other couples planning a wedding, Kay and Quinlan offered a valuable piece of insight.

“Not all the details during the planning process will matter the day of. Everything will turn out just great.”

If Kay and Quinlan had decided to hold their wedding at home, they believe that they would have been able to visit the venue more frequently and even attend a menu tasting. However, they don’t regret their decision to have a destination wedding in Oahu. The stunning scenery and intimate setting made a fitting choice for the couple’s special day.
