There’s something to be said for seeing something – or someone – you want and simply going for it! Chandler and Chet didn’t let the fact that they met on a group date (while with other people!) stand in the way of their instant chemistry. “I called my mom the night after our group date to tell her that I had just met my husband – even though we hadn’t even exchanged numbers yet!” reflects Chandler. The couple dated and fell in love in Los Angeles before moving to the Bay area, so there was never any doubt that a trip back to SoCal, specifically Pacific Palisades, would be the setting for their dream wedding.

Much like their feelings for each other, Chandler and Chet had an immediate connection with their venue, the Bel-Air Bay Club in Pacific Palisades. “The second we toured the club, Chet and I knew it was the place we would get married,” says the bride. “We didn’t even look at a single other venue – everything about the B.A.B.C. felt right for us…gorgeous views of the beach paired with that magical laid-back California vibe, without the mess of [actually] being on the beach.”

In keeping with their relaxed California theme, the couple chose bright, happy colors for their décor and incorporated oranges into some of the details like stationery and place cards. On the day of the wedding, the couple and 160 guests enjoyed a seamless and sunny event – largely thanks to the couple’s vendor team. “[The wedding] couldn’t have happened as seamlessly as it did without Jane Alexandra Events, Katrina Jayne Photography and the rest of the fabulous support team we had behind us…” says Chandler. “I truly cannot imagine getting married without them by my side.”

The couple’s favorite moment of the day was sneaking into their reception ahead of their guests. “It took our breath away how gorgeous our reception hall was and it was awesome to see everything we had envisioned come to life,” says the bride. Chandler and Chet also took advantage of the time alone to do a practice run of their first dance. “It was so special to share that moment alone with Chet – our first dance as husband and wife without the pressure of everyone watching.”
