This love story is practically made for television. Hannah and John’s romance blossomed at a television production company where Hannah interned during college, and John was a story producer. Their friendship laid the foundation for a love that was destined for success.
Hannah left to complete her education, but fate intervened, bringing her back to the company as soon as she graduated. Despite spending a significant amount of time together, both remained professional. However, their colleagues couldn’t help but notice the love brewing during John’s frequent visits to Hannah’s desk.
John had initially vowed not to ask Hannah out until he finished his ongoing project. However, a week before its completion, he couldn’t wait any longer, and their journey as a couple began. Six years later, in Hawaii, John proposed, and a surprised Hannah said yes, setting the stage for what everyone believed would be a blissful wedding.
With the help of Paradise Weddings, the couple discovered Secrets Akumal and chose November, as their wedding month. Despite initial reservations about an “all-inclusive” wedding, they were swayed by the luxury, aesthetics, and assurance of a professional wedding planner from Secrets Akumal.
During their first visit, Secrets Akumal was on its way to securing its 5-diamond certification for the second consecutive year. The wedding planner, Eri from Infinity Weddings, surpassed the couple’s expectations, ensuring each event felt unique and special.
The couple embraced Mexico’s culture in their wedding, incorporating a warm ombre color palette and Puebla’s Talavera pottery for rustic elegance. The florals paid homage to Frida Kahlo, with vibrant colors against deep green. The ceremony featured a unique floor installation made of real plants and flowers, repurposed later for their sweetheart table.
Hannah’s bouquet, with a giant king protea and tropical leaves, and her embroidered cape by La Voile Rose stole the show. John looked dashing in a light timber-colored ensemble with an elegant brown floral tie and a watch from Hannah.
Their ceremony, featuring a flower granny throwing petals, was followed by a reception in a circular garden venue with a circus tent-shaped illumination. Despite rain forcing a relocation, Eri and the team ensured a smooth transition, with Encore adjusting to the rain delay.
The night concluded with churros and a special gift of polaroids from Amorcito Corazon. From the beginning to the end, Hannah and John’s love story could easily become a Netflix series.
