Having fallen in love in Greece, Caitlin and Johnny always held Europe close to their hearts. This love led the couple to, eventually, elope in the ever-beautiful Positano, Italy at Villa Magia Positano, filled with booming culture and breathtaking views.

Before searching for the perfect venue to say “I do”, the couple looked for a photographer who could truly capture the magic and emotion of the day to later share with their family and friends. They chose Peggy Picot of Maison Pestea, who not only helped them achieve their photo goals but also set the plans for Caitlin and Johnny’s special day.

The couple exchanged vows in an intimate rooftop ceremony at Villa Magia Positano, overlooking the stunning Mediterranean Sea and vibrant cityscape. Lush greenery adorned the altar, complementing the bride’s Sonthai Gi dress with its exquisite red and green embroidery. During the ceremony, Caitlin serenaded Johnny with a song, expressing their deep love for music and each other. To conclude the ceremony, the celebrant offered heartfelt words in Italian, forever binding their love to Positano and beyond.

After cutting their small yet charming wedding cake, provided by Villa Magia, the newlyweds embarked on a joyful exploration of the lively town, immersing themselves in its rich culture. They wandered through cobblestone streets, passed under grand archways, climbed cascading stairs, and relaxed on pebbled beaches before embarking on a private boat tour along the Amalfi Coast with Positano Boats.

As the boat glided through the crystal-clear waters, Caitlin and Johnny celebrated with champagne, taking in the breathtaking beauty of Southern Italy and each other’s company. They sailed past towering cliffs and the enchanting mountainside city, their arms entwined.

With a small group of local vendors, including Caitlin’s hair and makeup artist, Linda Lynn, and their videographer, Umberto Atterga of Fashion Video, the day culminated in a resounding success.

When asked their advice for other couples planning a destination wedding or elopement, Caitlin shared, “I would highly recommend hiring a videographer if you are planning a destination wedding. We did not plan to have one in the beginning but were lucky enough to work with Umberto at Fashion Video. Our family was not able to attend our ceremony so they really appreciated getting to see the elopement afterwards.”

Caitlin and Johnny are a perfect example that true love requires no audience. All you need is each other to celebrate and embrace “la dolce vita!”
