With the winter wonderland backdrop of Vail, Colorado and the cozy interiors of Four Seasons Vail, Vail Interfaith Chapel and Sonnenalp Vail, Katie and Steve’s wedding story unfolded.

“We met at a mutual friend’s home. It was an interesting time in both of our lives, and we were not looking for love,” Katie reminisces. Fate, however, had different plans. Despite initially focusing on their children, destiny brought them together again, igniting a flame that led to an everlasting bond.

Why Vail? “We chose Vail to give our southern friends a taste of Colorado winters,” Steve explains. And the posh ski town didn’t disappoint. Blanketed in snow, it provided the perfect setting for a cozy, intimate celebration amidst the grandeur of nature.

The couple’s venue choice felt quite personal. “We frequented Vail as a vacation spot many times,” Katie says. Their reception site, the Four Seasons Vail, held a special place in their hearts, while the Vail Interfaith Chapel‘s breathtaking scenery captured their souls.

To infuse their wedding with a touch of home, Katie and Steve incorporated magnolia leaves into their decor. With a blend of cozy elegance and baroque-inspired design, they created an atmosphere that felt like an extension of their own living room.

Steve and Katie’s ceremony was a testament to their deep-rooted values. “We had a close friend officiate our wedding,” Katie says. With their children standing by their side, they formed a unified, blended family, embracing each other as their own.

Faced with the challenge of organizing a momentous event from afar, Katie and Steve found solace in their dedicated team of vendors, especially the planning team at Events by Marguerite. “We trusted them to bring our vision to life,” Steve explains. With unwavering support from Events by Marguerite and other vendors, they navigated the planning process seamlessly.

By opting for a destination wedding, Katie and Steve were able to keep their guest list intimate, surrounded only by their closest family and friends.

Their advice for couples embarking on their own wedding journey? “Hire vendors you trust and let them do their job,” Katie advised. By relinquishing control and being present in the moment, they were able to fully immerse themselves in the magic of their wedding day in the mountains of Colorado.
