After learning of the drastic changes to Iceland’s famous black beach, Reynisfjara, we couldn’t help but reminisce on some of the breathtaking elopements we had the pleasure of featuring in this magical location.

Although, extreme winter storms have eroded and swept away the black sand, leaving the location nearly unrecognizable - it’s form as we knew it lives on in the love stories of so many couples like Tommy and Ashley’s. 🖤

1. Jennifer Stein: Owner / Editor in Chief / Publisher

Stein started Destination I Do in 2004 out of her own desire to have a wedding away from home and discovering there weren't any media outlets exclusively covering the subject. Her background in publishing and her passion in weddings and travel, created the perfect synergy to start a product like DID.

2. Carolyn Steere: Owner / CEO

Carolyn has a resume unlike any other. From her background as an entrepreneur to her education as a counselor, she has a myriad of different talents. She brings her wisdom, insights and dedication to the table.

3. Lauren Ertl: Digital Editor

Lauren started at Destination I Do as an intern while perusing a degree in journalism. After proceeding to intern at a tv show, radio talk show, and convention and visitors bureau, she could never quite shake the passion gained for design and telling love stories. After college, she joined the DID team and never looked back.
