Choosing whether to have a wedding on a weekday vs. weekend can be a struggle for some couples. That's why Be Inspired PR has presented us with industry-expert opinions to highlight the pros and cons of each.

Sarah Kuhlberg, Creative Director at Colette’s Catering and Events points out that "many couples choose a weekday wedding because it's more budget-friendly, the date is specific to something special or important to the couple, or it’s their dating anniversary!" However, if you and your partner aren't concerned with any of these reasons, and simply wish to weigh their options, JP Events & Design shares their comprehensive list of pros and cons to each below.

Weekday Wedding Pros:

  • Increased access to your preferred venues
  • Price per person more affordable
  • More options on date availability
  • Possibility of having a more intimate setting (the venue to yourself)
  • Flexibility on the menu choices (more added options at a lower cost)
  • Dream vendors are more flexible and more accessible
  • Have the flexibility of extending the celebration into the weekend

Weekday Wedding Cons:

  • Taking the day off from work
  • Work in the office the next day

  • Less flexibility on menus options
  • Increased catering costs
  • Hotel rates higher and more likely to be sold out
