As a single mom, Naomi wanted to be cautious about who she dated, and that meant younger guys were off the table… or so she thought. That is until she met a handsome man named Harvey at a charity event in San Francisco.
“Six months later, we ended up going on a date for a Christmas party. Three months later, we were at the courthouse getting married,” Naomi says.
Since falling in love and saying “I do” in a courthouse all those years ago, the couple has seen a lot of change, but none more than in the last few years. Harvey and Naomi are a military couple, and they recently deployed, retired from the Air Force, started businesses and grew their family.
“A vow renewal seemed like the perfect celebration for our love story, a time to celebrate all we’ve accomplished and where we are,” the bride says.
To make things extra special, Naomi and Harvey decided to take their vow renewal to the city of romance: Paris, France! It wasn’t long before the couple selected the perfect planner, Megan with Vida Events, and photographer, Anna Wright with Anna Wright Photography.
“For our vow renewal, we really just wanted to be ourselves, enjoying the city and each other,” the couple says.
Naomi and Harvey desired a whimsical yet classic theme for the day, which came about from their chosen outfits. Naomi’s tulle-filled gown by Millia London offered a whimsical texture and structure in a delightfully light rose hue with hand-sewn flowers. Among the blossoms of springtime in Paris, the bride complimented the backdrops while Harvey’s sleek tux brought in the classic vibes.
“Our floral and beauty team played off the gowns’ intricate and delicate details,” the planner Megan says. “Naomi pulled off an effortlessly chic updo with understated French-inspired makeup by Onorina Jomir Beauty. L’Arrosoir created the most organic and unique bouquet that didn’t compete with the gown but enhanced its beauty.”
Additionally, the invitation suite was floral-themed with an air of French countryside but modern enough to pay tribute to the destination.
“Our day came together seamlessly,” Naomi says. “Planning a destination event can be daunting, have a team in place and allow yourself time for delays, but most importantly, enjoy celebrating your love story in an amazing place.”
