It’s that time again – time for the next installment of our Destination: X series! We planned one week each month dedicated to a specific destination far in advance and we believe our Destination: Florida week is well-timed. The Sunshine State has been home to some suffering over the past few months thanks to a handful of hurricanes. Alas, this romantic destination and its wedding vendors are bouncing back better than ever! For our Destination: Florida week, we’re going to have real-life weddings, local experts sharing their tips for saying “I do” in the Sunshine State, and local wedding vendors sharing their favorite spots around the state. If you’re considering a Florida Keys destination wedding, be sure to stay tuned!
It’s true that the Florida Keys got hit particularly hard during the recent storms, but that doesn’t mean you should count them down-and-out when it comes to an option for your destination wedding or honeymoon! The Keys and Key West are iconic destination wedding locations and they’ve weathered all kinds of storms over the years. We’ve asked our friends over at The Monroe County Tourist Development Council to share some of their favorite options when it comes to activities for destination wedding groups in the Florida Keys, Key Largo and Key West.
- John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park
- The Spiegel Grove Shipwreck
- The Everglades National Park
- The Studios of Key West
- Dry Tortugas National Park and Fort Jefferson
- Watersports like boat charters, paddle boarding and kayaks
- Old Town Trolley Tours
