Dive deeper into this styled shoot on Lefkada island by reading our interview with the shoot's planner, Claire of Lefkas Weddings.
Q: How did this styled shoot first get started (who contacted who to get the ball rolling?
A: The shoot developed from a meeting at the villa between myself and the owner of the villa. As we walked around the house I noticed piece after piece of antique furniture and the theme of the shoot was born.
Q: Tell us about the ceremony look. What elements were included and why?
A: The ceremony was designed to include the carpets and antique furniture of the villa as alternative decorative items to the traditional arches and floral arrangements.
Q: Tell us about the reception look. What elements were included and why?
A: We wanted the romance of the old-world elements against the backdrop of the Ionian Sea. The reception was designed with a lounge area in the gardens and a table under the gazebo. Timeless white porcelain pottery pieces were filled with seasonal flowers interwoven with antique candlesticks.
Q: How did the team of vendors work together?
A: It was a fun and easy shoot together being colleagues that collaborate regularly on events.
Q: What was your favorite part of the shoot and why?
A: Everyone enjoyed the ease and natural chemistry of the models. We all waited excitedly for the dusk to fall so our gazebo table setting was framed with the warm flicker of fairy lights.
