When it comes to the theme of a wedding, the destination truly can make or break the ambiance of the whole day. If you’re having trouble pinpointing the perfect location to fit your theme, you’ve come to the right place. See a few of our suggestions below:

Boho: Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

Nothing says boho more than turquoise waters being contrasted by soft beige sands. Cabo San Lucas and its beautiful beaches is the perfect destination for your dream boho wedding.

Picture this: a wooden wedding arch decorated with neutral-colored roses, dried palm fronds and drapery stood in the warm sands of a serene beach. A flowing long lace dress in the salty winds and a carpeted aisle leading down the beach to the altar.

Beyond the ceremony, Cabo San Lucas’ relaxing spas and nightlife provide the perfect entertainment for guests to celebrate. Everything from wonderful culture and activities galore will allow for your boho wedding to turn into a grand adventure for everyone involved.

Garden: Dark Hedges, Northern Ireland

There are two things that come to mind when we hear the word “garden,” the first being lush veggies and tart fruits, and the second being a magical place where the Earth grows in ways beyond imagination. Dark Hedges, Northern Ireland is that place.

The park consists of flowing green hills and a gorgeous street lined with arching trees that look like they are straight out of a movie scene. Towering branches arch into a magnificent tunnel that is almost begging to become the backdrop of a floral and earthy wedding. As it is now, Dark Hedges is a beautiful destination that won’t last forever as the nearly 150 beech trees have dwindled down to just 90 over time.

What better place to have a garden-themed wedding than a beautiful natural beech tree tunnel that is slowly becoming a once-in-a-lifetime experience?

Fairytale: Rothenburg-ob-der-Tauber, Germany (Beauty and the Beast-esque)

What do you get when you take the fairytale- magical setting of Beauty and the Beast and remove the chaos that accompanies the storyline? You get Rothenburg-ob-der-Tauber, Germany; the perfect place for a dreamy wedding straight from your favorite romantic fiction.

Everyone wants to be a Disney princess at least once in their life, and what better time to make that dream come true than on your wedding day? The city’s medieval nature and its cobblestone streets boast the perfect aesthetic backdrop for a wedding fit for a King and Queen.

As the night falls and the softly lit street lamps come on, the picturesque small town will make you feel like royalty in your very own fairytale.

Cottagecore: New Hope, Pennsylvania

Could you see your wedding in a small town and a little brick cottage on the edge of a river? If that cottagecore aesthetic is what you dream of for your destination wedding, then you’re going to want to have it in New Hope, Pennsylvania.

The 18th-century town is home to colorful shops and gothic-style cottages that border the Delaware River. Throughout the main street, the shops are labeled with old wooden signs and metal decor that adds to the small-town charm.

During the fall the town is painted in leaves of orange, yellow, and brilliant red. With the small-town vibe and old brick buildings, New Hope is the place to walk down an aisle of flowers to an altar covered in stretching vines. The perfect town to make the statement “welcome to our cottage, why don’t you stay for a while?”

Glamorous: Gardens by the Bay, Singapore

When you think of glamorous weddings Paris may come to mind, but if there’s one word that describes Singapore, it’s glamorous. Singapore’s Gardens by the Bay is just one of the many extravagant locations in the country where you can wed.

From the edges of the Gardens by the Bay, guests will be able to see Singapore’s famous Supertree Grove where nearly 165-foot vertical gardens designed to look like trees stand. And as the wedding goes on into the night those 165-foot trees become a personal light show with music to accompany the dazzling colors.

Want to dance beneath a ceiling of lights? Singapore has that covered as the many halls offer options for ceremonies coated in glamorous flowers and shimmering lights. Beyond those extravagant lights is the mystical view of Marina Bay to add to a wedding to remember.

Rustic: Boston, Massachusetts

Often when we hear Boston we think of another big city in America, but hidden in the history of the city are the perfect locations for your dream rustic wedding.

Want to have that rustic feel without taking the typical path of a barn or large green field? Check out Boston’s famous Acorn Street. The street is known as one of the most photographed streets in Boston, and its cobblestone roads and red brick buildings give off a natural beauty that the rustic style emphasizes.

From there it is a quick trip over to Boston Public Garden where the natural beauty is perfect for a gathering of friends and family upon warm oak benches. Imagine a rustic wooden altar coated in roses and soft greenery overlooking the lake fit for a simple and rural wedding with a twist.

Through the historic streets of the city to its lush Gardens, Boston has everything you need for the perfect rustic wedding. In just a few blocks your wedding can be a step out of the hectic present, and a step into a simpler, more rustic past.

Whether it’s the glamorous gardens of Singapore or the soothing beaches of Cabo San Lucas, the world has many magnificent backdrops to offer. As you think of your ideal wedding theme, start to pin destinations on the map to your dream wedding.
