This dazzling styled shoot took place at an up and coming vacation home rental that can be used as a wedding venue for couples looking to have a destination wedding. Del Mar Villa is unique in that this location also offers multiple areas on its grounds to host weddings of all sizes with an area for family or wedding parties to stay. Planner Danielle Nichole shares below the behind-the-scenes look at the shoot, including how it came together and the inspiration behind its details:

“For this shoot, our plans were to show off how a couple can have a small destination wedding traveling within the USA and not having to go far. Working with Chantal, the photographer for the shoot, we wanted to show couples that they can select a venue for their micro destination weddings that can also act as a place for their guests to stay.

When we came across Del Mar Villa, we knew it was the perfect venue to show off this concept. Del Mar Villa is located in Dundee, Oregon, and is a new luxury home rental that can be rented for a weekend for gatherings of all kinds. With Del Mar Villa being fairly new for a possible venue for weddings we knew that we wanted to not only highlight the venue and grounds but highlight the many possibilities that can be done when hosting a wedding on the grounds.

The theme for this shoot came about when touring the grounds during the peak of the fall season. With the fall colors coming in, we felt that that the golden yellows, oranges with black accents and gold accents would pop and flow with the venue’s architecture and grounds for all seasons – not just fall.

Since Del Mar Villa is a ground estate, I wanted to create many looks to highlight areas of the grounds that would be beautiful spots to have a wedding. We chose the ceremony location to have a view of the river and the reception to take place under beautiful vines elsewhere on the grounds.

For the Ceremony look, I wanted to create a simple look that captured the beautiful view and really gave that feeling of feeling like you were somewhere in Europe by using French Bistro Chairs and having a dramatic floral backdrop.

For the reception, we had many looks we could do with the table and chairs, so we felt it was only appropriate to display the many options. We featured a look with chivari chairs and one with French bistro chairs. Additionally, we had many different types of hor d’oeuvres displayed that could be fit for a cocktail style reception or a lite dinner.”
