Lake Como, Italy, with its breathtaking beauty and historic charm, has long been a coveted destination for weddings. This styled shoot, captured by the talented Hannah Quintana, takes inspiration from the very essence of the lake itself, creating a romantic and ethereal atmosphere at the exquisite Villa Sola Cabiati.

Hannah describes the shoot as the brainchild of Lauren Fair’s renowned destination workshops. “Lauren Fair’s workshops are legendary,” she says, “and this shoot was a perfect example of how collaboration can create something truly magical.”

The inspiration for the shoot stemmed from the allure of water. “The way light reflects on the surface, the mythical tales of mermaids and sirens, the delicate shells, and the mesmerizing colors of a seascape,” Hannah explains. “We wanted to capture these elements and weave them together with the inherent romanticism of Villa Sola Cabiati.”

The ceremony scene embodied pure simplicity and a connection to nature. The team opted for a climbing floral installation which accentuated the villa’s grand gates. This organic approach set the tone for a celebration that was both elegant and intimate.

For the reception, the focus shifted to a luxurious tablescape. “A long table adorned with cascading fabrics, flickering candles, and overflowing floral arrangements formed the centerpiece,” Hannah says. “We wanted every detail to feel rich and intriguing, so we incorporated a variety of textures, fabrics, and paper elements alongside the abundant flowers.”

Collaboration was key to the shoot’s success. “Lauren and I worked hand-in-hand with Leandra from Eventoile,” Hannah explains. Leandra’s expertise ensured seamless coordination between the international and local vendors involved.

When asked about her favorite aspect of the shoot Hannah answered quickly: “The iconic Lake Como experience – a vintage wooden boat ride across the water! It doesn’t get much more dreamlike than that!”

This styled shoot offers a glimpse into a wedding experience that is both luxurious and deeply connected to its surroundings. The result is a celebration that is as unforgettable as Lake Como itself.
