Among the rolling hills of Italy’s province of Siena sits the picturesque Villa Cetinale, which harkens back to the 17th Century. “Designed by the architect Carlo Fontana, in the Roman Baroque style, the villa was built in 1680 by Cardinal Flavio Chigi for Pope Alexander VII — Fabio Chigi,” states the villa’s website.
Good news for all adventure-seeking, history-loving couples – you can actually rent out the historic villa! Imagine, a picture-perfect day of “I dos” in the Tuscan villa’s garden, which is considered to be one of the most beautiful in Italy! Don’t just take it from us though. Get evidence of just how stunning this secluded venue can be as a destination wedding backdrop with the help of a stellar team of styled shoot vendors.
“Shooting at Villa Cetinale was designed to reflect a luxurious European Villa Wedding complete with a dreamy ceremony overlooking a hilltop monastery, a lavishly decorated reception table, champagne tower, and stunning lounge set-up in the picturesque villa gardens,” the shoot’s planner, Amanda Virga, of AMV Weddings says. She continues, saying: “The palette featured primarily neutral tones with a pop of subtle pinks and gold accents. The looks were also carefully curated to incorporate a softer more whimsical look for the ceremony, as our bride wore a Fall ’22 Amsale Gown, later transiting into a statement pink gown by Peter Langner for the reception look.”
“Everyone worked together harmoniously and the day went by flawlessly,” adds photographer Hunter Hennes. “Amanda has an extraordinary ability to bring very talented people together and organize and execute a perfect game plan. My favorite part of the shoot was getting to meet and work with all of the amazing vendors that helped make the day possible. The shoot they created was an absolute DREAM to capture and lovely in every way!”
