Newlyweds, Sarah and Brendon, snuck away from home to explore the blossoming autumn season in Charleston, South Carolina. The sidewalks covered by Spanish mossy trees painted the most romantic backdrop. The couple simply couldn’t have chosen a more charming place to elope.
“It’s also a place we have always wanted to visit because of its history, amazing French restaurants and world-class golfing,” Sarah says.
Wanting to keep their engagement private, the couple decided to change up their routine and travel south where they would exchange vows in the courtyard of the luxury Hotel Bennett.
“We ended up deciding on a destination elopement because it was a great way to get married somewhere unique and beautiful, and to be able to make a weeklong vacation out of it somewhere that was a lot warmer than home,” the couple says.
Planning the details of their special day was made easy thanks to Francesca with Pure Luxe Bride. Offering a unique elopement package, the couple was able to magnify their experience with her wonderful recommendations.
“She offers a styled elopement package where they quite literally did everything for us. All we had to do was book our flights and hotel, buy a dress/suit and show up. She even provided a hotel recommendation for us and took care of booking our dinner reservation,” the bride says.
As the sun set in the southern sky, the couple shared their moment in the mystical park. The bride wearing her lovely satin gown held a luscious bouquet of blush pink, white and maroon flowers. She was accompanied by her furry friend, Winston, who wore a custom tuxedo and matching collar made of flowers.
“By having a destination elopement, it gave us a lot more quality time together without any outside stress for an entire week and Charleston will now, forever have a special place in our hearts,” the pair says.
After making their engagement official, the couple felt so pleased with their decision to share this special moment in the big city. Keeping the ceremony small and intimate truly made the moment theirs to share.
“I have zero regrets pulling off a secret engagement & elopement and although we were nervous telling everyone when we got home, they were all over the moon happy for us,” Sarah says.
