If there’s one thing Danielle and Caitlyn know how to do, it’s throw a party with heart. Their Las Vegas destination wedding at Green Valley Ranch brought friends and family into Sin City from 29 different states!

A collage shows a wedding welcome sign with flowers, a boutonniere next to a drink, a black clutch reading "Queen of Fucking Everything," and two women adjusting clothing indoors.

“Vegas was actually the easiest and most convenient location for the majority of our guests,” Caitlyn shares. Plus, with Caitlyn’s family ties to the area (she grew up visiting her grandparents in Las Vegas every summer), the destination felt like home in more ways than one.

A collage of wedding moments: a bride with a woman indoors, a close-up of bridal shoes and accessories, and a group walking outside in formal attire.Three photos show an outdoor wedding ceremony: a wide view of guests seated by a staircase, a groom and best man walking, and the bride with family walking together.

When it came to picking the venue, the couple didn’t waste any time. “The grounds are beautiful and when we both looked at the grand staircase during the tour, we both immediately knew this was the place,” Danielle says. And honestly? Can you blame them? That staircase was basically made for a dramatic wedding entrance.

A bride and groom stand together at an outdoor wedding ceremony, exchanging vows in front of guests under sunny weather near an elegant building. A bride in a white dress embraces and kisses a woman on the stairs of an outdoor venue, with wedding guests and floral decorations in the background. A wedding ceremony with two brides walking down the aisle, lush floral arrangements, and an outdoor lounge area with palm trees in the background.

But what really made their day sparkle were the personal details sprinkled throughout. Hockey, for instance, played a starring role. “Hockey is a really important part of our lives. We met through hockey, we met most of our friends who attended the wedding through hockey, and we both watch it together often,” they explain. To honor that, they had custom hockey pucks with their wedding logos waiting for guests at each table, which was a total crowd-pleaser.

A wedding seating chart styled as vinyl records, a place setting with a menu and favors, and a “Find the Guest” bingo card on a table. Two photos show people in Elvis costumes and gold jackets dancing at an indoor event with guests seated and standing around them.

And speaking of crowds, Danielle and Caitlyn knew they needed to break the ice for their guests, many of whom didn’t know each other before the wedding. Their solution? A wedding bingo game that included fun facts about different attendees. “Guests went from table to table trying to find a guest that fit the square… the DJ even picked the winner with a dance-off. It was a hit!” Danielle laughs.

The ceremony itself struck a balance between traditional and personal. “We’re a gay couple, so we tried to find ways to celebrate our community within the wedding,” Caitlyn says. Having two of their closest friends officiate and walking down the aisle with their chosen wedding party made the moment even more meaningful.

A collage shows cocktails by a floral display with a sign reading "Riya's Bar," a table set with flowers and a "Table 15" sign, and two people selecting food from a buffet. Elegant banquet table with pastel floral centerpiece, candles, and place settings; two people seated nearby; display of vinyl records and a turntable on a separate table.

And of course, no Vegas wedding would be complete without an epic party to close it all out. With a killer DJ, plenty of dancing, and lots of laughs, Danielle and Caitlyn made sure their guests had the time of their lives.

So, what advice would they give to other couples planning a destination wedding? Danielle kept it simple: “Trust your vision and go with what you want, because it’s your day.”

Whether that means hockey pucks, bingo cards, or a grand staircase in Las Vegas, you end up with a wedding that’s wholly reflective of the two of you!
