Lovebirds Abby and Brad took their happily ever after to new heights with a destination wedding in the breathtaking mountain town of Aspen, Colorado at the historic Hotel Jerome.
The couple’s love story began in 2016 when they met while working together in Tampa, Florida. “We would walk to get lunch together and get to know each other,” Abby recalls. It wasn’t long before sparks flew, and Brad finally mustered the courage to ask Abby out. Their shared love of travel and adventure has taken them on countless journeys, and it was perfectly fitting that their happily ever after would begin in a new and exciting location.
Brad popped the question in December of 2021 during a trip to Death Valley National Park, one of Abby’s favorite places. Little did she know, Brad had a secret photographer waiting to capture the magical moment! After Abby said yes, they continued exploring the park’s natural beauty, followed by a romantic celebratory dinner in Las Vegas.
Abby and Brad chose Aspen for their wedding because of its special place in their hearts and its undeniable beauty.”We wanted to share the beauty of Aspen with our friends and family,” Abby says, “allowing them not only to witness our special day but also immerse themselves in a memorable summer vacation surrounding our wedding celebration.”
The timeless elegance and historic charm of the Hotel Jerome won them over completely. The venue’s luxurious ambiance, impeccable service, and iconic surroundings provided the perfect backdrop for their dream wedding.
On the wedding day, the Colorado sun shone on Abby and Brad’s mountainside ceremony as the two tied the knot under an arch of lush flowers. Abby wore a romantic ballgown covered in large floral lace to match the scenery, which she paired with a flowing veil that billowed in the breeze as she took her vows. After the ceremony, the couple went for their first walk together as newlyweds to explore downtown Aspen before heading back to Hotel Jerome for their reception. The hotel ballroom exploded with displays of roses, anemones, and thistle, while their textured wedding cake featured delicate lilies of the valley. After celebrating with their guests, the pair flew to Europe for a honeymoon tour of Santorini, Lake Como, and the Amalfi Coast.
The couple worked with a talented wedding planner who brought their vision to life. The ceremony incorporated both timeless traditions and personal touches, like written vows and a unique Aspen leaf ceremony. “Living three hours from Aspen provided us the advantage of convenient site visits,” Abby says. However, they also had the invaluable support of a local wedding planner who ensured everything ran smoothly. “Having a trusted professional on-site played a key role in making our wedding preparations both efficient and stress-free!”
