You never really know how much of an impact your friends will have on your life. In the case of Jennifer and Ryan, it was a mutual friend who introduced the two who would eventually fall in love. Years later, that love would bring the couple to desire a destination wedding.

While brainstorming the perfect wedding location, the couple knew they wanted somewhere everyone in the family could easily attend.

“We live in California but our families would be flying in from out of state and overseas,” the couple says. “Vegas would be the perfect melting pot for everyone to meet, and there are activities for all ages.”

Unfortunately, the planning process brought several challenges for Jennifer and Ryan due to COVID, including the possibility of their international guests not being able to attend. Hoping to keep their guests healthy, the couple narrowed down their guest list to just under 75 people.

Because of the setbacks, the couple wanted to know they were on the right track. Being the first of their friends to get married, reaching out to other newlyweds seemed like the best option.

“It was helpful hearing the good and the bad – especially in such uncertain times,” Jennifer says. “Things were constantly changing so we had to stay flexible.”

Jennifer and Ryan stayed upbeat and hopeful by taking a hands-on approach to the planning process, including making their own invitations. This task helped Jennifer feel more in control of the process and allowed the couple to further personalize their wedding.

“As a stubborn bride, I wanted to control every aspect of the wedding, but it is impossible,” Jennifer says. “Something is bound to go wrong, and that is okay.”

On the day of the wedding, Jennifer and Ryan got ready in their respective suites at the iconic Caesars Palace in Vegas while guests filtered into the courtyard. From ceremony to reception, the couple’s style carried throughout with pops of pink in floral arrangements and gold accents in the decor.

Looking back on the day, the couple couldn’t have pictured a more perfect occasion.

“In the end, a wedding is just a giant party with those that you love and that love you right back.”
