After a seven-year journey of life, laughter and love, Lisa and Hoa embarked on the newest chapter of their lives atop a summit surrounded by picturesque beauty and miles of vineyards in Narni, Italy.
For some, envisioning and planning a wedding may be a daunting task, beginning with choosing a destination. For Lisa and Hoa, imagining the backdrop for their celebration came from a place of joy and hope.
The couple’s love of Italy were reinforced by the characteristics that first called them there. With its beautiful countryside and amazing food, the only task left in choosing the destination was which city and venue.
After employing the help of wedding planning services Bottega D’Amore, Narni, Italy was found to have all of the things the couple was looking for. The Santo Iolo Cantina is a winery and country house sits proudly in the Umbrian countryside. With its acres of vineyards and rows upon rows of fruit and olive trees on the rolling hills, it sets the stage for this beautiful union. The country house built in the 19th Century adds the charm of an Italian Casa amongst the breathtaking views.
Having a destination wedding in a place that is near and dear to their hearts also provided the couple with the added joy of honeymooning there right after. Romantic vistas and a sense of adventure perfectly encapsulated the feel the couple was looking for.
As Lisa and Hoa met in front of the arch of white Hydrangeas for their ceremony, a light rain began to fall. While most brides may lament the drops from the sky, Lisa thought it added a romantic touch to the day. With the presence of their adorable one and a half year old son, the bride and groom said their vows. The surrounding colors of the villa and countryside complemented the bride in her Vera Wang dress as she stood ready to say her vows to the love of her life. The groom, in a classic white tuxedo matched perfectly with the aesthetic as he regaled the party about the day he laid eyes on his bride.
The reception was an intimate affair at the casa as the sun slowly set behind the hills of Narni. The decor was built to highlight the palette of the countryside and they winery. Olive branches, classic Italian pottery and accents of red and white brought the look together. Pink glass bottles with the names of the guests sat at each setting. Mood lighting of fairy lights and elegant pink tapered candles atop gold candle holders illuminated the party while the white floral centerpieces added a softness to the scene. Rose gold cutlery kept the theme of a light bit of pink to go with the earthy colors of the venue. Walking hand in hand, the couple will forever have photos of the first day of their marriage in the place that captured their hearts and imaginations.
When asked for tips on what made their wedding planning journey an enjoyable one, the bride was happy to share how much the people at Bottega d’Amore facilitated the experience. Having a planner can provide valuable insight into the region’s customs and traditions. The bride adds that between speaking with multiple vendors on their behalf, getting proper permits, and documentation, the couple’s dreams of a romantic Italian countryside wedding came to fruition thanks to their wedding planner and was an event to be remembered for years to come.
