After a year of rescheduled wedding plans, brides deserve to have a stress-free bachelorette getaway. For the maids-of-honor now under pressure to create the ultimate bachelorette weekend, check out these tips on some of the newest and greatest offerings for a bridal celebration.

Keep Her Interests Top of Mind: It may seem obvious but the key to a successful bachelorette getaway is keeping the bride’s interests top of mind. Cater the destination, itinerary and surprises along the way with her personality in mind. For the more laidback bride, perhaps an outdoorsy destination would be best – think hiking in Lake Tahoe or lounging poolside at an all-inclusive in the Caribbean. For the active, go-getter bride, do some research on golf or tennis resorts. For example, Innisbrook Resort in Tampa Bay, Florida, offers one-on-one lessons with PGA Professional Dawn Mercer with four golf courses – one of which is home to PGA Tour’s annual Valspar Championship. The 900-acre resort also offers tennis clinics, multiple pools, a full-service spa and easy access to Tampa’s first zip line course.

Don’t Overschedule the Itinerary: Overpacking the itinerary with activities and reservations isn’t fun for the bride or the rest of the bridal group. While you want to have a plan in place, there’s no need to plan every hour of each day. Schedule in the plans that the bride is most looking forward to – whether it be jet skiing or a vineyard tour – and then keep a list of alternate restaurants, bars, and activities that you can opt for if plans change or the weather interferes with Plan A.

Think Outside the Box: Don’t limit yourself to domestic destinations if the group feels comfortable traveling internationally. With wellness concierges and easy access COVID testing, many hotels and resorts are simplifying travel while ensuring travelers abide by all safety and health guidelines. Those looking for a socially distant getaway can look into Airbnbs or private villas at select resorts. At Half Moon in Montego Bay, Jamaica, guests can opt for accommodations in the resort’s Rose Hall Villas – complete with 5-7 bedrooms, private pool, living room, dining room, and a 24/7 butler, housekeeper and chef. The resort also offers on-site COVID testing, in addition to a variety of amenities including more than 10 restaurants and bars, one of which offers more than 100 rums; three swimming pools and natural swimming cove; equestrian center with horseback riding along the beach or in the water; and a golf course and tennis/squash center.

Capture The Memories: It’s easy to forget to take photos when you’re having fun. Let the bride stay busy enjoying herself and take that responsibility for the group. You can also opt to purchase disposable cameras for each guest and then share all the photos with the group after the trip. Some hotels are even offering professional photographers as part of a bachelorette package if you’re looking for Insta-worthy photos. For example, Novotel Miami Brickell has curated the ultimate bachelorette getaway with limo pick-up from the airport, accommodations in their Presidential Suite, and a private photo shoot set up for up to 10 guests – including a photographer, make-up artist, hairstylist, customized swimsuit experience and styling by Brazilian swimwear brand Acqua de Luxe, and a set on their redesigned rooftop pool deck overlooking the Miami skyline.
