Photographer Andrea Enger has seen how tariffs are impacting her industry. “Tariffs are noticeably impacting wedding budgets, especially in categories that rely heavily on imported goods. The most significant impact is in wedding attire, floral & design materials, and electronics.”

Her advice? Go local and go simple. “Couples can reduce tariff-related costs by leaning into sustainability and local sourcing. This includes choosing minimalist, intentional decor, or even pre-owned attire.”

Planning ahead has never been more important. “Secure your chosen vendors and their pricing as early as possible,” advises wedding planner Mari Carmen Maffioli. “Booking early, especially for popular services such as venues, caterers, and photographers, can often secure a fixed price that may not be available later. Add a buffer to your wedding budget to account for potential cost increases due to tariffs.”
