An inspiration for all couples seeking to celebrate tying the knot with Italy’s famed Lake Como as a backdrop, this photo shoot at Villa la Cassinella, designed by Britt Jones Co., was beautifully captured by the talented photographer, Allison Taylor Creative.

An Invitation to Inspiration

“Italy is known for its vibrant coastal cities and breathtaking views over the water.”

“This colorful wedding inspiration serves as a parallel for all the amazing color tones that can be seen throughout this beautiful country.”

“To serve as the perfect backdrop for this palette, Villa la Cassinella was nothing short of the perfect choice. Known as one of the most exclusive venues on the lake, Villa La Cassinella sits in the town of Lenno and is only accessible by boat.”

“The villa hosts intimate weddings ranging in numbers from only 15 – 20 guests. This requires each couple to intentionally select each and every guest and even invite them to stay on the property throughout the wedding week.”

The Ceremony Look

“Our ceremony consisted of a beautifully rounded arch complete with ground pieces overlooking the lake.”

“The florals used were vibrant including lush garden roses, fluffy hydrangeas, and purple allium.”

The Reception Look

“The tablescape was layered in rich textures and patterns like fresh lemons and tomatoes off the vine.”

“The rattan chairs were the perfect element to tie in the wooden candlestick holders.”

“As for the location of the table, it was set under an archway with the most stunning display of creeping fig vines and lake views from every angle.”

Challenges Overcome

“Each vendor had an important role to play. With this property being solely accessible by boat, some tricky logistics played a part in making this day come to fruition.”

“Everyone executed their job to perfection allowing a cohesive experience that showed in the photos at Villa la Cassinella.”

“My favorite part of the shoot was the table. It was so authentically Italian and had the most breathtaking lakeside views.”

“I couldn’t imagine a more picturesque scene for a reception dinner off of the lake.”
