Jeffery and Kristen met on an online dating site, specifically tailored for vegans and vegetarians. Despite Kristen being late to their first date and Jeffery eating all of the appetizers, it was an instant match. “It’s been an amazing journey of love ever since,” says Kristen.

Fast-forward five years: Kristen and Jeffery swapped hand-written vows on Jumby Bay Island in Antigua and Barbuda. An intimate, beach wedding was something both the bride and groom had dreamed of.

“We are both bright, warm and happy people,” says the bride. “Just like beaches on an island.”

With guests coming from the United States, Italy, Austria and Australia to celebrate their marriage, the couple’s planner suggested Jumby Bay.

“Jumby Bay turned out to be the perfect choice for the size of our party,” says Kristen. “We rented the entire island to ensure everyone had intimate memories.”

The wedding weekend kicked off with a welcome party that included dancing, delicious cuisine and a fire-eater show. The next morning, the couple organized a scavenger hunt all around the island, with guests taking Polaroid pictures for each clue. All the pictures were then placed in a photo album, with guests adding sweet notes for the bride and groom.

“The album is the best memory we could have ever imagined,” says the couple.

When it came time for the wedding, Kristen followed behind her bridesmaids and 13 giggling flower girls. “I walked down the aisle alone, which is pretty much how I have gone through life before meeting Jeff,” says the bride.

A trail of beautiful flowers paved the way to Jeffery. The couple said “I do” on an altar suspended over the water and in the company of their children and their loved ones.

“After the vows and the most romantic kiss on a beach one could dream of, we reunited with our children, Robert and Jasmine, and dove into the warmth and joy of all our family and friends,” says the couple.

The reception followed with tons of dancing and vegan food. As the memorable wedding weekend came to a close, everyone released lanterns into the starry sky. To see Kristen and Jeffery’s incredible rehearsal dinner, click here.
