San Jose del Cabo, Mexico has enticed couples with its pristine beaches, perfect weather and breathtaking views. After a cost comparison, Natalie and Andrew discovered that a San Jose del Cabo wedding matched the price of a local wedding. 

“We loved the idea of having a once-in-a-lifetime weekend where all of our closest community got to vacation and celebrate with us!” Natalie explains. 

With 60 of their friends and family in attendance, it was important to Natalie and Andrew to find an exclusive venue where they could host an intimate gathering away from outside distractions. The couple found their perfect match in ACRE Resort, a 25-acre sanctuary in the foothills of San Jose del Cabo, where the resort’s award-winning farm-to-table cuisine helped cement their decision.

“Visualize your ceremony and decide if you care if it’s set up in a private setting or more public,” Natalie advises. 

Natalie and Andrew teamed up with San Jose del Cabo wedding planner Tatiana with Vine and Branch Events Co., who alleviated the stress of coordinating with local vendors while ensuring every detail reflected their style. Tatiana’s organizational skills allowed the couple to focus on enjoying their engagement rather than getting overwhelmed by the planning process.

The wedding celebration began with welcome margaritas rimmed with black salt, introducing the local flavors with the help of the ACRE chefs and mixologists. At the reception, guests were greeted with custom coconuts engraved with their last names to kick off the party with a refreshing beverage that enhanced the tropical feel. Neutral colors such as beige and white painted the venue’s reception, complementing the greenery surrounding the resort.

Reflecting back on their planning process, Natalie and Andrew believe that their organized approach helped them create the wedding of their dreams. They would hold weekly meetings with Tatiana to go over any emails and budgets. The couple also made sure to book all travel arrangements early on to avoid last-minute travel expenses. Their ultimate advice? “Check in with your partner about the vision throughout and do your best not to get swept up with small decoration details.”
