For their nuptials, Joseph and Renee wished to embrace the sun-soaked paradise of Los Cabos. With the Pacific Ocean as their backdrop and a celebration that felt both intimate and exhilarating, this couple created an atmosphere at Nobu Los Cabos that whisked their guests away into another world.

One of the driving forces behind their choice of a destination wedding was the desire to create a unique experience for their guests. As Joseph puts it, “We wanted to be able to create an experience while keeping the celebration intimate.” And that’s precisely what they accomplished!

Renee had a clear vision while selecting a venue. She shares, “I focused a lot on the guest experience as well as the vibe I wanted my guests to feel.” Nobu Los Cabos fit that vision seamlessly, and the couple found their ideal person to help carry out their vision in Fernanda Gil of Take Love Everywhere.

“My biggest tip is making sure you get a great local planner that has relationships in the industry within the area,” the bride says. This connection not only eases communication but also ensures that everything runs smoothly. However, every wedding has its hiccups, and for Renee, it was a wardrobe malfunction when her wedding shoes broke! But there was no need to panic; her planning team swooped in to save the day.

Joseph and Renee wanted their wedding to reflect their personal style, which they accomplished beautifully. “We kept everything clean and white, which is very much what I lean towards,” Renee explained. They also infused their fun-loving nature, kicking off the reception with shots and opting for a champagne tower instead of the traditional wedding cake. Now that’s a twist that guests won’t forget!

With a smaller guest list, Joseph and Renee naturally created an atmosphere of inclusivity. “Most of our guests knew each other or had met at some point because we kept it so small.” This sense of familiarity added to the warmth of the occasion, making everyone feel involved and cherished.

Joseph and Renee have some sound advice for couples navigating their budgets. “STICK TO THE BUDGET. Honestly think of the overall impact whatever you’re investing in will have on your day,” they advise. It’s all about making choices that truly resonate with you as a couple, rather than comparing your day to anyone else’s.

Looking back, the bride says, “I loved my wedding so much so there isn’t really anything I would do differently.” Their greatest lesson, however? “Stay true to yourself and your wants as a couple for this day.” Wise words for anyone planning their own celebration!
